**Artist Showcase**

Avenged Sevenfold is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1999, the group consists of vocalist M. Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, rhythm guitarist Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ.

Avenged Sevenfold emerged with a metalcore sound on their debut Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, which included primarily screamed vocals. The band changed their style on their third album and first major label release, City of Evil, which featured more of a hard rock style. The band continued to explore new sounds with their self-titled release and enjoyed continued mainstream success before their drummer, James "The Rev" Sullivan, died of heart disease and combined effect of drugs and alcohol in his body in 2009. Despite his death, the band continued on with help of now-former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy and released and toured in support of their fifth album Nightmare in 2010 which debuted on the top spot of the Billboard 200, a first for the band.

It’s hard to believe that “Hush” was a Billy JOe Royal tune. It will forever be linked to Deep Purple.

I know..
Love what Deep Purple did with it.
That Hammond solo was awesome.

"Yesterday" was one of the string quartet accompanied Beatles songs, something that should be attributed to George Martin and his years as a classical recording producer with British Decca.

The other string quartet songs were "Eleanor Rigby" and "She's Leaving Home".

Now that it’s over, yes...no, really. Went to see the taxman and that is one big thing off my mental list as it looks like I will break even, and that is my intent.

Had some early computer issues, but finally got them solved. Firefox thought it might take the day off, and it took me awile to convince it that that wasn’t going to happen.

How was your day? Sunny skies here.

Everyone’s ok as far as I know. 13,000 acres burned and many
evacuated, but it was reported that the fire was contained
early this morning. I tried to send you a link, but they were
updating the story at that time. This is just the beginning
if we don’t get some rain. :(

It’s already been the driest 6 month here since they started keeping records in 1930. We’ve had .ll” of rain since September! (that’s 11 HUNDREDTHS of an inch)
