Rubio’s Advice to Donald Trump: Drop The ‘Birther’ Issue
Daily Caller ^ | 04/08/2011 | Matt Lewis

Posted on 04/08/2011 10:17:55 AM PDT by Hawk720

During an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller on Thursday, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said businessman and potential 2012 GOP primary candidate Donald Trump deserves to be taken seriously as a legitimate candidate, noting that “Donald Trump comes to the race with some notoriety — people know who he is.”

But when it came to Trump’s questioning whether or not President Obama was born in the U.S., Rubio said: “I would suggest — if he asked for my opinion — not to focus so much on that issue. There are more important things facing our country. I believe Barack Obama was born in the United States of America …So why are we talking about this?”

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Tea party favorite Marco Rubio capped his dramatic rise with an easy win Tuesday over Gov. Charlie Crist and U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek in the race for Florida’s open Senate seat, keeping it with the GOP.

With 78 percent of precincts reporting, Rubio had about 50 percent of the vote, to 29 percent for Crist, who left the Republican Party earlier this year to run as an independent when polls showed him trailing in a GOP primary. Democratic nominee Meek had 19.6 percent.

It’s obvious Americans want answers regarding the Presidential birth certificate.

I think it's more a matter of Americans appreciating the entertainment value of Trump's antics.

If he's doing well in the polls because of that .... well, it's an indictment of the quality of the other candidates, not to mention an indictment of the mental capacity of the electorate.

As long as Trump is not the eventual nominee (God forbid), he’s the perfect person to pursue the issue. He’s got money, connections and he doesn’t really care what everyone else thinks. Plus, he has a TV show on a major network so they can’t just shut him up.

As a politician, he’ll hang himself soon enough with some unforgivable comment but, as a birther, he’s a perfect person to rub Obama’s snout in this.

Bingo! Surrounded...that is exactly what the Americans want! The truth and nothing but the truth.

If Republicans like Rubio are scared of this, best just to be quiet and let the others lead the way to the truth.

He Rubio. Why don’t you mind your own business and STFU.

You don’t dictate what others think or say.

You focus on your issues and we’ll focus on ours.

If The Donald wants to be taken serious as a candidate, he needs to focus on the things he'd have to deal with as president.

He has talked extensively about China. The birth certificate issue gets his foot in the door.

And that is the truth! (no pun intended). Trump is playing a game, not sure what, but to claim he is conservative is a strech.

You know Rubio is just a little bit jealous. Trump has commandeered the media and is making the other hopefuls look like a bunch of wimps.

Whoever beats Obama in 2012 will have to bludgeon him into a bloody pulp...and Trump seems like the only one tough enough and smart enough to get into a brawl with these Democratic thugs and beat them at their own game.

With all due respect, Mr. Rubio, I think you don’t like that Trump’s odds are soaring since he took on this issue.

If he runs I do believe it will get him over the top, actually.

Trump doesn’t need Rubio or anyone else telling him how to run his business.

I call Bulls*it! I am so sick and tired of left wing media feeding us this crap so that trolls can post it under misleading titles with the purpose of taking out all of our key leaders. The title is clearly misleading, Rubio NEVER SAID for TRUMP TO “DROP IT”. Marco has no means to investigate this story, that is the media's job and since they won't do it, thank God Trump is. Trump is uniquely suited for this assignment. Don't fall for these trolls, they tried this during Rubio’s campaign regarding the AZ story. Rubio and our Tea Party Allies need to concentrate on the Budget and Heath care. Please don't Frag our leaders just because the left tells us to.

That is exactly right, he talks about China and OPEC often. Trump also responds to BC questions because he’s not a spineless p&ssy.

It doesn’t seem to be showing up there, but I tried to post this:

The rule of law matters. Laws are being broken to cover for Obama. Just addressing the 2 pieces of “evidence” of a Hawaii birth:

1) The Hawaii DOH has indirectly confirmed that the Factcheck COLB is a forgery. See http://butterdezillion.wordpress.com/2011/03/03/amendment-confirmation-for-dummies/

2) And the birth announcements are highly questionable. We know that the claims about where the Star-Bulletin images came from were lies; they could not have come from the Hawaii State Library microfilm as claimed. And the only clear full-page image of the Advertiser came from the Advertiser office but differs from the Advertiser’s own blurry, narrowly-cropped image so we know the Advertiser manipulated one or both images. I have an article about it at http://butterdezillion.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/attention-bill-oreilly-the-rest-of-the-story.pdf but the Advertiser portion of it needs to be revised based on new information which I am still researching. The Star-Bulletin portion is current and accurate.

There is evidence of government manipulation, cover-up, and/or forgery in nearly every government office that claims to have records for Obama: the Hawaii DOH, the Selective Service Administration (forged registration), the Social Security Administration (acknowledges that SSN Obama used on most recent tax return was never issued to Obama), and the Passport Office (security protocols disabled 3 times to allow Obama’s records to be breached, IG can’t say that records were not altered, submitted an affidavit and apparently forged DOS cable in Strunk case alleging millions of passport records destroyed without required paper trail, refuses to release Obama’s mother’s index of passports issued).

If you go to my start page at http://www.butterdezillion.wordpress.com you can see information sorted by subject matter, showing the level of lawlessness and corruption involved in covering up for Obama.

That is why this matters. If our government bureaucracy is lawless and we can’t even stop it by exposing it or voting in different people (because they all just say it doesn’t matter), then neither the laws that are made nor the elections we hold make a bit of difference. That is what is at stake.

Threats from Soros. That’s documented as what’s got the media scared, and I think it probably also explains McCain, Bush, and Cheney - as well as the judges.

Do you remember when that episode at the Town Hall event happened, or have a link for it off-hand? My mind is so full of some pretty detail-heavy stuff I’m digging through so it’s probably better if I don’t stop to look that up right now but I don’t want to forget that I want to look it up when I can.

Does that sound crazy? I feel like my brain is low on memory space right now and the hard drive might freeze up. lol
