20% unemployment, $5.00 a gallon gas, 20% spike in food prices:

yeah, he is right , he will not have to worry about rising prices beyond this summer.

Did this trick pony once state that there would be no inflation?

How stupid do they think we are?

So, in other words... he’s saying that the pain of inflation will be “contained,” right?

He keeps using that word. I don’t think it means what he thinks it means.

Bernanke Says US Inflation Spike Won't Last

Probably true, some people are saying that it will be two years max before we implode.

Pure BS!
This is to keep the population quiet until the ultimate goal is reached, namely, the removal of the US Dollar as the “Global Reserve Currency”! Then it will be too late to protect your family, savings, retirement or anything else! Overnight we will be a Third World economic debtor, unable to repay the debt, and totally subservient to Globalist criminals who have been working on this for over 70 years at a minimum.
You can thank the two controlled puppet parties, the concentration of Corporate power, totally corrupt media, and the hidden hand (as exposed in the book “The Franklin Cover-up”) for the total lost of your freedoms and economic future!

This dipshit somehow missed the housing mortgage bubble yet he confidently predicts inflation (which he also recently said wasn’t happening...) will be a blip...

Yeah, whatever....

All they have to do is “let” there be another liquidity event like 2008.

Then all the hedge funds and others will unwind there positions. And dump commodities galore.

The real question becomes, how many times can they do that without the dollar falling instead of bouncing up again?

If they DO this, again and again, the confidence will really dry up. Fiat currencies need confidence to work.
We are well on our way to destroying the US dollar.

It has been closing below 76 the last few days.

Inflation, meanwhile, has edged higher. But at 2.1 percent n the year to February, growth in the consumer price index has yet to rise to levels that tend to make Fed officials uncomfortable.

You know, reading this garbage reminds me of reading Pravda 40 years ago.

Although, unlike Bernanke and Co., I don't believe the writers at Pravda actually believed their own propaganda. This bunch is in dire need of Haloperidol (an antipsychotic medication used to treat patients that suffer from delusions, hallucinations, unorganized thought)

Is he lying now?

Like he’s been lying all along?

Hiding the fact that taxpayer money went to foreign banks without taxpayer’s knowledge, leads me to believe the man is comfortable in lying.

Prove me wrong.

Time to quit paying taxes, huh?

(I heard, tonight, that the movie “Atlas Shrugged” is having a difficult time finding backers that could put the movie into neighborhood theaters....they just don’t want us to know the depth of b*llsh*t we’re in, and the means to take back the country from LOOTERS. Heard this on the Rusty Shackleford....ummm...Rusty Humphrie’s Show.)

What the article doesn't do a good job of saying is that the current inflation has a lot more to do with oil supply and demand than it does with the Fed's QE2 program.

30 years of a "do nothing" energy policy has left us dependent on foreign oil and very vulnerable to oil price shocks like the one that caused the current economic crisis.

Unfortunately the Federal Reserve will probably take the brunt of the blame for inflation, when a lot of the inflation would have happened if the FED had done nothing.

I suppose at some point alternatives do become cheaper than oil. But I don't know how high oil goes before that becomes true. The inflation caused by the FED's QE2 should indeed be limited and a one time occurrance. The inflation caused by energy, will probably continue, until we get serious about pursuing proven viable sources of energy like nuclear.
