First they came for your light bulbs. Now Obama’s EPA is going after your soap.

You can’t blame Americans for feeling as though the government is increasingly crossing boundaries and reaching into their daily lives. The Obama administration and regulatory authorities such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) appear to be coming at us on all fronts.

The Republican-led Congress has been steadfast in its efforts to beat back the EPA. Recent committee hearings have exposed the adverse consequences that the EPA’s regulation of greenhouse gas emissions will have on the job market. Unfortunately for hardworking Americans, the cost of the EPA’s action will make energy prices higher, drive jobs overseas and force more citizens into the unemployment line. Under the Obama administration, the EPA has been transformed into a job-killing machine.

The EPA is donning a new title, as well — “nanny state” behemoth. While many are aware of the fight against cap and trade and the EPA’s regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, the totality of their smaller actions, which often go unnoticed, is starting to add up. They already tell us what kinds of light bulbs we can use and how much water we are allowed to have in our toilets. Now, they have their sights set on our soap.

TSP, is also is used to clean walls to “prime” them before painting. Especially if semi-gloss paint has been used prior, or you want to paint over paneling.

I’m getting ready to paint our kitchen and there is quite the greese stain on the ceiling above the stove.

the ceiling has that rough texture.
I’m wondering how to get rid of it without destroying the ceiling.
I’m thinking even the TSP won’t solve this problem.

any suggestions?

White vinegar. Try it full-strength. White vinegar is the wonder cleaner.

Watch out for “phosphate free” TSP...

It’s kinda like “fat free half & half”.

Right, and also there is worry that by over-using it, we are inadvertently helping to create super-microbes that are resistant to it. Regular soap & water, properly used, is just as effective as the anti-bacterial stuff anyways. It’s just another marketing gimmick that the public has fallen for.

They can set their sights on my soap all they want, but since I make my own, they can go pound sand.

They removed the phosphates out of dishwasher detergent, now you get pitted glasses and dirty dishes....unless you are smart enough to put white vinegar in the rinse aide box.

Laundry soap no longer cleans as well, so you have to add color safe bleach to your light colors.

So no it’s not an April Fools joke, just more nanny statism.

"Gun control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound." — L. Neil Smith

Great quote!
