You cant blame Americans for feeling as though the government is increasingly crossing boundaries and reaching into their daily lives. The Obama administration and regulatory authorities such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) appear to be coming at us on all fronts.
The Republican-led Congress has been steadfast in its efforts to beat back the EPA. Recent committee hearings have exposed the adverse consequences that the EPAs regulation of greenhouse gas emissions will have on the job market. Unfortunately for hardworking Americans, the cost of the EPAs action will make energy prices higher, drive jobs overseas and force more citizens into the unemployment line. Under the Obama administration, the EPA has been transformed into a job-killing machine.
The EPA is donning a new title, as well nanny state behemoth. While many are aware of the fight against cap and trade and the EPAs regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, the totality of their smaller actions, which often go unnoticed, is starting to add up. They already tell us what kinds of light bulbs we can use and how much water we are allowed to have in our toilets. Now, they have their sights set on our soap.

The problem is not the soap, but the anti-bacterial agent, triclosan. Studies have shown triclosan can interfere with the body’s thyroid hormone metabolism and health groups have requested the EPA to stop its widespread use. The difficulty isn’t the one time you wash your hands, but the inadvertent high doses people are receiving because it is in so many products. This is especially a concern for children in public schools where the administration mandates the use of hand sanitizers, wet wipes, and anti-bacteria soaps.
"Fools" are the ones who voted for the userper Kenyan who would be King and his commie minions from Hell: Pelosi and Reid. The gift that keeps on giving, and the Hades Evil Triad has been a very bad joke for America. I hope we survive.
My new dishwasher seems to get the job done without Phosphates.
Of course it runs about 45 minutes longer than my old dishwasher, hot water and all.
I put a teaspoon of Savogran TSP in it and set it at it’s lowest cycle just to help out a bit with my electic bill.
I heard they are pulling yet another Freon stunt.
Soon we will all have to buy yet newer air conditioners with serious high pressure plumbing to make the even crappier substitute work within it in order to cool ourselves down soon.
great.
***Now, they have their sights set on our soap.***
As long as I can get lye and lard I am OK.
Ban lye and I will use wood ashes.
Ban lard and I will raise and KILL my own pigs.
Stock up on incadesent bulbs, and buy and install a toilet from Mexico.
Hand sanitizer? Use rubbing alcohol.
Triclosan is in lots of products. Just check your toothpaste.
Ha, Ha...we make our own soap, have for several years...’grandma’s lye soap’...use it in the laundry, and for bathing...we use TSP in the laundry as well to improve the cleaning. And we use hydrogen peroxide for sanitation (not the drugstore 3% variety, btw).
Good point. We need to make a list of all things we can
‘thank a liberal’ for...
When liberals get all of us down to 'one square of toilet paper' if might be necessary...
Might not need lye - liberals are so full of lies it would be overkill.
Where does one come by Trisodium Phosphate?
They’re going to have to pay for, deliver, and pay for the power for the “new” AC. We cannot afford another appliance. Who’s idea is this, GE’s?
Amazon.com
1.2 pds @ $10.80 (dispense by teaspoon)
Thanks !
True that. They had some school children become very ill because they were licking the anti-bacterial soaps off their hands. The soap smelled good and these were little children.
“Where does one come by Trisodium Phosphate?”
Savogran, a company right up the street where my mom used to work makes some.
It’s called TSP.
They sell it at Home Depot.
Buy the red box, Don’t buy the green box, it’s fake TSP.

We used it to clean some tile grout last week and it worked amazing.
Actually the stuff has like a thousand cleaning soulutions.
Have a fridge in the garage that was getting moldy, TSP cleaned it like nothing recently.
it’s good for floors and dishwasher, laundry etc.
From what i gathered back a few years ago Dupont itself lobbied congress to ban their own freon because their patent was about to run out??
Now we got the newer less efficient stuff and they are getting ready to do it again.
I really do not have all the details.
