It's official: Donald Trump is a "birther." But he'd prefer you don't use that term.

Speaking to MSNBC Thursday, the business mogul and improbable presidential candidate reiterated much of what he has said in the last several days when it comes to doubting President Obama's birthplace, declaring, "I am embracing the issue, and I'm proud of the issue. I think somebody has to embrace it."

You really should read this story. It’s written by the woman who photographed Obama while at Occidental college. It’s the 4th paragraph that got me.

Recollections of President-Elect Barack Obama

In 1980, while a student at Occidental College, I was experiencing some success as a photographer. My black and white portraits of fellow students had gained some positive recognition. Consequently, when my roommate’s best friend introduced me to this “hot guy” named Barry, I knew I had to take his picture because, well, he was “hot” and I just couldn’t resist. Barry agreed to be a model.

I never did realize my dream of becoming a professional photographer, but I did keep the negatives from my early photographic explorations. And now that “Barry” is the President-Elect, I offer them up so that others may see a side to him I have yet to observe captured in the current maelstrom of contemporary media. I believe the images reflect his spirit of fun and thoughtfulness that I hope he hasn’t lost on his road to the White House. For the record, there wasn’t a nicer, more sincere guy in college.

These photos were taken in 1980 in a small apartment in Los Angeles, one block from Occidental College. My roommate and I had an overturned shopping cart as an end table, and our couch was a plaid nylon loveseat that had been left on the side of the road. The carpet was an indoor/outdoor lime green shag that probably hadn’t been cleaned since it had been laid sometime in the 1960’s. Barry showed up in a bomber jacket, carrying his cigarettes and a straw hat for effect (his idea, not mine). He was as friendly and charming as could be and followed instructions very well. He just kept flashing his awesome grin and asked how I wanted him to pose. We talked about Hawaii and New York, mostly superficial stuff, and I tried to get him to “speak to the camera”.

After that afternoon of the photo shoot, we ran into each other on campus occasionally, but we didn’t interact all that often. The next summer, while I was at a club in Hawaii, I spotted Barry sitting at a table near mine. There were two gorgeous women sitting in his lap and he had his arms around both. He was smiling and flirting and when he looked up and saw me, he enthusiastically said, “Hey, I know you.” We had a drink and a cigarette, and then we both went back to being busy with “other things”; but it was fun to see him and I appreciated being acknowledged by such a cool, handsome guy. That was the last time I was to see Barry for over 25 years

( * I noticed his mention (regarding the birth announcements, of all things) of how easy it is to falsify records. Methinks Trump now knows what has been going on with Obama for a very long time. So many of us have seen the cracks in the facade for a long time, and now finally somebody who has the stature to withstand the media onslaught has understood what it all means. The forged selective service registration, the stolen SS number, the passport breaches, the Passport Office forgered “cable”, the forged COLB, the forged birth announcements, the carefully-parsed Fukino statements... Trump realizes what it all means. * )

Donald Trump also needs to address and make public the fact that Janet Napolotano's Home Land Security put those who even question or ask about Obama's eligibility or his birth place on their watch list.
Donald Trump needs to bring to light the threats made by this corrupt administration towards those America loving patriots who want the US Constitution upheld.

His advisors had said he needed another Oklahoma City bombing, and shortly after that there was Tucson. But that didn’t give Obama any lasting bump. But the country always rallies when they’re engaged in war, right? Well.... this “kinetic military action” is not gaining Obama any lasting bump either.

But Obama HAS united some strange bedfellows, because people of totally different POLITICAL views, backgrounds, and affiliations have come together over something even more important, and more binding: love of justice and of our Constitution. It’s almost as if the country IS uniting to battle an enemy, but it’s the enemy within rather than the enemy outside. And some people are finding themselves on a different side than they always thought they were on - or at least others are seeing what side they seem to be on. What he is is mixed race, if his mother is who he claims he is at least fifty percent white, he is probably NOT fifty percent black. No I'm not stupid - I know very well about tax returns and specifically when they are involving RE.

But since you pose the 'can't be that stupid' - I'll give you the last word because of YOUR NEED to appear smart. Don't want you to loose any of that hot air from that ego. Trumps tax returns, yes/no audits don't even reach 'a little concern' line of my meter.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it were the latter, since Trump is a known Hitlery backer.

Too, it was Hillary's Philly campaign manager, or sub-manager, Phil Berg, who brought the original complaint in spring 2008, during the primaries.

Hillary had to drop the matter when she lost, but Berg soldiered on until a federal judge told him citizens don't have "standing" to complain about empyrean concerns like this ..... and the courts will let us know when we can have our right to petition for redress back.

So far, that "standing" stuff has really stuck in my craw, when the issue is eligibility for national office.

One of my back-burner, corner-shooting concerns about this whole matter is that, if Obama gets outed in time for the 2012 campaign -- and let's say he has to leave the White House (hopefully under guard, straight to Leavenworth) -- the obvious beneficiary will be, guess who, Beastwoman.

So I continue to see the Clintons in this issue, hovering around the edges, ready to race in and snatch the Presidency from Bozo and prepare to defend the office against the Republicans.

I haven't yet begun to try to get my head around what a matchup between Sarah and Hillary would be like, as opposed to Sarah/Obozo. It's been written that Barry Goldwater was a much better matchup against JFK than he was against LBJ, even before the campaign began in 1964 and LBJ started his crap avalanche (he actually started that while JFK's body was still cooling in the Rotunda -- thus his biographer, Robert Caro).
