EXCERPT
"The right wing base of the Republican party, I'm part of that right wing base, is not in love with the issue of birthers. I mean, there is an element inside the Republican party, and outside the Republican party, that's fallen in love with this but the majority of Republicans and the vast majority of Americans accept is he a U.S. citizen capable of being president."
(snip)
"You know, the troubling thing in the interview tonight was he said as time has gone on here, over the last couple of weeks, he has become more interested and more believing in the issue. You know, when he first brought it up, he said 'of course I accept that he's a citizen. He ought to just release the, release his birth certificate.' Different tone tonight. This is a mistake. It will marginalize him and he's falling into Barack Obama's trap. Barack Obama wants Republicans to fall into this trap because he knows it discredits us with the vast majority of the American people when they do."

STFU and go stick pins in your Palin and O'Donnell dolls.
Rove supports the political elitists. He and Obama and McCain are all on the same team.
And just who gives Tokyo Karl the green light to speak on behalf of the entire Republican Party?
Blow it out your wazoo Karl.
I thought pork face Rove already had that honour.
“Ruling class” jackwagon.
He’s as much of an enemy of liberty as the ‘rats in Congress are.
Rove is the architect of the collapse of the Republican party between 2003 and 2009. I reallly don’t give a crap about what he has to say. He has incredible knowledge on electoral politics but I don’t think he is even average on messaging and strategy. He was able to get just enough votes twice, and the second was in the shadow of 9-11.
I am a birther.
Tokyo Rove doesn’t speak for me.
Trump is a wildcat. I don’t recall him explicitly pledging to the GOP or Democrats. He was a Hillary booster and Bush basher in the 2008 campaign.
I say let him make as much noise as he wishes about the Obama natural born citizenship question, and don’t try to stop him. If he’s being stupid he hurts only himself. If he’s crazy like a fox he helps everybody of good will.
Yeah there was the trap of his double muslim name, trap of his racist unAmerican church, trap of his hating America, trap of hiding his school records, trap of befriending a terrorist bomber. /s
Republicans are so clever avoiding all these “traps”. /s
Is THAT what Donald Trump “is up to”? He sure is putting alot on the line if that’s the case.
This was Rove’s poorest performance by far. He may purport to speak for the “republican party” but he sure doesn’t speak for Conservatism!
Mr. Rove, you need to apologize for being so stupid as to suggest that verifying the qualifications of the person holding the highest office in the land is a “distraction”.
Shut up, Karl.
Lol, that’s about all he’s good for these days.
Sure do get sick of hearing Republicans bash other Republicans. Rove sure is special, isn't he? Sort of acts like the resident of the WH.
Makes me want Trump to run even more...and voting for him would be a pleasure.
Nothing to say here, other then Obama is both a fraud and failed POTUS. Time and events will prove that Donald Trump is not such a fool!!! Bank on it!!!
Actually, it’s obama who is discrediting both the democrat and republican parties, as well as the media, by NOT releasing his records. If past Presidents released all or most of their records, so should obama. If he has nothing to hide, remove the order to seal and put it all out there. Until he does, we don’t know who he really is. Come on zero, plaster it on your forehead and make us all look stupid (unless you can’t). Rove should sympathize with the “proofers” more than anyone since they went after his boss for a lot less.
