Whenever a major war breaks out, like WWI or WWII, the US military has had to fire the “experienced” chair-warming, backstabbing office politicians who have wormed their way to the top, and get some actual warriors into those slots.
If you have good clay to work with, and your electee is smart enough—and right enough—to gather good advisors, you’re better off with OJT than a politician with long years of experience in skullduggery.

If she can beat obamo or not seems to be the issue, but as for her ability to do the job? no question in my mind, she is an American, not a socialist.
I believe there are only three things that would be the deciding factor on her winning,
that would be the lies of the main stream press,the men who do not think that a woman could do the job, and the fact that many women might not vote for her because of their jealousy, they would feel more comfortable with some one with Hillarys looks.

Barack Obama is not an amateur in his professed role of Fundamental Transformer of the American federated constitutional republic with a regulated capitalistic economic system into a collection of provinces ruled by a central socialist government headed by an autocratic ruler. He has been well and fully trained and fitted for his historic role.
And, just for the record, Gov. Palin has a well-thought out philosophy of government, which has been public displayed at both the municipal and state levels.
