Tax the Super Rich now or face a revolution
Market Watch ^ | March 29, 2011 | Paul B. Farrell

Yes, tax the Super Rich. Tax them now. Before the other 99% rise up, trigger a new American Revolution, a meltdown and the Great Depression 2.

We know the Super Rich don’t care. Not about you. Nor the American public. They can’t see. Can’t hear. Stay trapped in their Forbes-400 bubble. An echo chamber that isolates them. They see the public as faceless workers, customers, taxpayers. See GOP power on the ascent. Reaganomics is back. Unions on the run. Clueless masses are easily manipulated.

Even Obama is secretly working with the GOP, will never touch his Super Rich donors. Yes, the Super-Rich Delusion is that powerful, infecting all America.

Here’s how one savvy insider who knows described this Super-Rich Delusion: “The top 1% live privileged lives, aren’t worried about much. Families vacation at the best resorts. Their big concerns are finding the best Pilates teacher, best masseuse, best surgeons, best private schools. They aren’t concerned with the underlying deterioration of America or the world, except in the abstract, because they aren’t directly affected by it. That’s not to say they aren’t sympathetic, aware, or don’t talk about the issues you bring up. They are largely concerned with protecting and enhancing their socio-economic positions, ensuring their families live well. And nothing you write about will change things.”

What if the Object Of Derision turns out to be a kitteh?

It will still be a kitteh; just an unhappy one.

I would suggest renaming it “Object of Derision”; but perhaps in French, or maybe Latin.

Actually, though, if it is suspected that the blockage might be a critter, best not to go after it with a vacuum. Have to disconnect the vent hose from the back of the machine and get it out.

The dryer vent is on the second floor, and I’m on the ground. And if the Object of Derison is large enough, it might break the Dyson, and then I’d have to shoot myself.

I will just pay $99 for a thorough cleaning to some gent who’s probably Russian or Polish, thereby supporting a hardworking refugee from Eastern European misery.

My jaw still hurts. I had some ibupofen, and I’ll have a mild Restorative Beverage after the dryer-guy comes.

I got a phone call this morning from my childhood friend. Her husband’s younger brother passed away from cancer last week, and her great-grandaughter (4 yrs old) was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She has had surgery and now must undergo six weeks of chemo in a hospital 60 miles from where they live, and then six months of chemo in tablet form.

The parents and grandparents need prayers to sustain them through this difficult time.

Anyone want to help?

I will most certainly keep this family in my prayers.

Anyone want to help?

FReepmail me if there's anything else I can do.

Not brave enough to live without my Dyson, for even one day. I was going to go to the laundromat after the dentist, but DP wouldn’t let me. The overflowing laundry basket upstairs is looming in my mind like Darksheare’s interdimensional monstrosity.

Can you give us some (first) names for your friends? I’ll fire up a Rosary and throw in some pain and suffering and a bit of almsgiving.

Thanks. For now, prayers are needed the most. My friend held it together on the phone, but I could tell she was stressed to the breaking point.

My friend hasn’t seen the little girl (Emberlie) since surgery because my friend has a cold.

Thank you so much for your offer!

Bonnie and Charlie are their names (famous recent hurricaines) and the GGbaby is Emberlie.

He’s Catholic, she’s “sort-of” Mormon, but they have been married almost all their lives. She was so young when she had her first baby that she was put in the Pediatrics Ward...:o])

Praise the Lord, I’m back with a functioning dryer. Vlad was disappointed that there were no zombie bunnies in the ducts.

Thank you so much! I will let Bonnie know that there are Legions of Angels ready to take all the prayers to God. She has entrusted me with this burden of sharing her grief, and I often wonder if I’m worthy of being a good listener.

Her husband survived prostate cancer several years ago and her son soon after suffered from kidney cancer. Challenges are not foreign to her, but she is of an age and stage in her health where all help is needed.

She told me she felt as if she were “made of broken glass and everything just shifted the shards into a new place of pain.” It broke my heart.

What? No Zombie Bunnehs? What kind of dryer IS that???

How is your mouth? Are you into the Restoratives, yet? I’m gonna work on something here...I just don’t know what...

(Why do I feel so beat up? It’s only Wednesday!...)

My mouth is mildly uncomfortable. The Restorative is Helpful. Also a dinner of chicken and fetuccine Alfredo, for Bill’s birthday. And spinach.

The ducting guys were not Slavic after all ... local ‘merican guys. They liked Ash.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BILL!!!!
Dinner sounds lucious! Including the spinach.

Anyone who likes Ash has my vote. And I’m glad the Restorative is helpful. Some folks just have no clue...

Sorry about that!
Otherwise, would it make good story filler?
