Tax the Super Rich now or face a revolution
Market Watch ^ | March 29, 2011 | Paul B. Farrell

Posted on 03/29/2011 8:57:23 PM PDT by Christus_Rex

Yes, tax the Super Rich. Tax them now. Before the other 99% rise up, trigger a new American Revolution, a meltdown and the Great Depression 2.

We know the Super Rich don’t care. Not about you. Nor the American public. They can’t see. Can’t hear. Stay trapped in their Forbes-400 bubble. An echo chamber that isolates them. They see the public as faceless workers, customers, taxpayers. See GOP power on the ascent. Reaganomics is back. Unions on the run. Clueless masses are easily manipulated.

Even Obama is secretly working with the GOP, will never touch his Super Rich donors. Yes, the Super-Rich Delusion is that powerful, infecting all America.

Here’s how one savvy insider who knows described this Super-Rich Delusion: “The top 1% live privileged lives, aren’t worried about much. Families vacation at the best resorts. Their big concerns are finding the best Pilates teacher, best masseuse, best surgeons, best private schools. They aren’t concerned with the underlying deterioration of America or the world, except in the abstract, because they aren’t directly affected by it. That’s not to say they aren’t sympathetic, aware, or don’t talk about the issues you bring up. They are largely concerned with protecting and enhancing their socio-economic positions, ensuring their families live well. And nothing you write about will change things.”

He saw it at a photography expo at this garden last year, but decided it was too expensive. Then last week, he found it at Best Buy for half the original price.

If I REALLY wanted to go “all in” on a camera, I think it would be THIS one:
http://www.finepix-x100.com/

I’m over the moon with the retro styling; the machined metal body parts, and knurled control knobs. It totally reminds me of my Dad’s Nikon S-2 (still fully functional, BTW), which he bought in 1958 for the princely sum of $236 while serving in the Army in Okinawa.

Here’s a nice write-up on the S2 with pictures for the sake of comparison.

FYI: My son finally called me this morning. He says a tornado cut between his house and his work (about two miles away) and that they are safe. I was becoming concerned, but he said he had left his phone in his wife’s car.

In other news, the migraine is still with me.

In still other news, I was offered a one-bedroom but had to turn it down because it was right in the middle of where I was when I narced on the “independent pharmaceutical salesmen” who had taken over my front yard. All it would take is for someone to recognize me or my voice and it would be all over....

No promises on posting more. Just promising to be here. Somewhat.

Glad you heard from your son and all are OK. Tornadoes are freaky, but a miss is as good as a mile.

Sorry about the aching head. I’m in company with you on that score this morning; not migraine, though, but the ibuprofen and coffee haven’t kicked in, yet, so I’m still in sort of a “limping along” mode mentally.

Praying for a good place for you that you’ll really feel “at home” in.

The latest on little Emberlie’s battle with cancer....

Hi,
I guess the reason Emberlies hair is starting to fall out already is the medicine she has to take now has some chemo in it. Emberlies Mom (Cassie) has always done her hair so pretty, I mean you never see her without a do, and has always let it grow, well Cassie took her to get her first haircut, and had to turn away so Emberlie would not see her tears, this is so hard on us women and with all were facing it should not be, I hope she doesen’t lose her eyelashes she has the most georgous eyelashes long and shaped just right. I hope her hair comes back the same color, sometimes it comes back a differant color and even curly. I’m trying to figure some thing to buy her maybe some big hankerchiefs in pink and lavender.
On a good note after radiation yesterday Cassie went to Primary Childrens hospital and they gave her enough medicine to last till the end of radiation $2,500 worth what a relief every week it had cost more than the one before.
I still chuckle when I think of the guys that robbed the service station taking all the money from the till and leaving Emberlies donation bottle with money in it there.Cece says they were robbers with hearts.

The tumer had been pressing against the brain stem, it was an aggressive form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multi-form grade IV stage 4. Her speach theripist is amazed at how well she is talking, and the walking therepy should start soon, I’m so hoping she won’t need that pink zebra strip wheel chair she picked out.
Hope you understand how we feel about her hair, I mean she can’t walk and we are crying over her hair to, I don’t understand it myself.
Please keep the prayers for her going. Sorry about the spelling. Love, Bonnie

(PS: Cece is the daughter of Bonnie, my friend, Cassie is her daughter and Emberlie is HER daughter. The last time I saw Cece, Cassie was a darling little toddler.)

Thanks for comiserating. I’ve had migraines since I was eight years old, and had no idea what they were. I still don’t know if I have one headache that lasts eight to ten days, or eight to ten headaches of a day each.

They have evoloved from no warning and intense pain, sensitivity to light and sounds to flashing lights, pain, nausea and sensitivity to light, sound and odors. Mostly I lie in the dark with an ice pack, since nothing helps, otherwise.

HK: I was a military wife for 30 years, so anywhere I can hang my curtains is home! Thanks for the wishes!

Thank you! Bonnie is so frightened, and still hasn’t seen Emberlie because of her cold. I told her that stress would prolong the cold and suggested things to help her relax.

She’s like a sister. We have been friends since we were five years old, and between my sister and I, the three of us were inseparable.

XOXO

It isn’t the super rich. It isn’t the lawyers.

It is our tax system that is the problem.

How about we fix that instead of trying to attack people that are doing exactly what any smart successful person would do...learn the system, find its flaws and exploit it.

Does anyone actually think that our tax dollars are being spent properly?

So what will happen if they take all of the money from the super rich in the form of taxation? Will it change anything?

Let’s fix the problem and stop picking on distractions that attach onto people’s emotions and drive class warfare.

WE ARE ALL BEING PLAYED!

Ditto.

We’ve heard from the medical experts; they’ve had their say.

Now it’s time we heard from God.

Appreciate the news! The guy is here to start up the Purple Car, at last. I’m not sure what they did while I was gone all morning, but when I came in the door at 12:30, it was like, “Oh, let’s call AAA!” Males.

Glad your son is okay, and sorry about the building. Pat is on the other side of the door nagging me about the computer. Unnngh.

Cute camera. My dad had a fancy Nikon that he bought in Asia in the 60s; it took forever for him to focus and shoot a picture.

With God receiving so many prayers for this little girl and her family (however HUGH it may be) she is improving daily. I’m making her some cute little hats to wear when her hair falls out.

It’s the least I can do. The most I can do is pray.

Somehow, upon receiving news of the Purple Car, my brain conjured Darks, working his nefarious magickal otherworldly symphonies to make the Purple Car rise again.

It has nothing to do with AAA...more like 999.

I think they’ve got it out of the garage now. I need to send Tom out to clean up all the cat-plotz, since it’s his cat.

999 which is half worse than 666 by a margin of 333.

I think I understand it. The whole situation is so emotionally and physically taxing for everybody concerned that even the “minor” things seem like mountains.

If she does lose all of her hair I predict that it will all grow back even more beautiful.
