You know, what Obama's trying to do with our military by going to the UN and totally ignoring our Congress. He's setting a precedence. He's doing it on purpose. From now on other Presidents can ignore Congress and go to war.

He's doing the same about the eligibility. After Obama, anybody can be President. And illegal mexican may be out commander in chief tomorrow. That's why he's ignoring it. He was probably born in NJ for all we know. He may not be hiding anything. But his failure to prove it with documents sets a precedence for all future Presidents.

I don't refer to them as birthers... they're more like constitutionalists, if you ask me.

He wouldnt have to be impeached. He’d be forced to resign and since he was never a legal president, anything he or his administration did would be void. Top it off, Biden would not be able to be sworn in.

"Justice would be LTC Lakin given his full commission back, compensation for wrongful incarceration, and after the trial is over, a front row seat to the lethal injection of all the players involved in this coup."

I have not thought of this in those terms until I read your post. But coup is the exact term for this, if in fact Obama is not eligible to be President. Treason not impeachment!

Bingo. Glad somebody sees it. Absent from last night's speech were clarifications of the legality of this military intervention with respect to Congress, or its bearing on US national security interests.

Maybe we need a "Deep Throat" here. This would make WaterGate look like a misdemeanor.

I view Donald Trump as a very liberal Republican/populist who wants to be 'good friends' with everyone of consequence on the left or right of the political spectrum to prove that he is as important as he thinks he is. That being my opinion of Trump, I wouldn't vote for him as president under any circumstances. However, Trump is serving the purpose of taking what always should have been a major issue in the '08 campaign but was brushed aside by the Democrats and their media lackeys as being in poor taste to even mention it. Soon, the term 'birther' was coined and used as a pejorative against anyone who dared mention Obama's citizenship. Now, Donald Trump, the real estate billionaire with a weird hairdo and a feisty 'New York attitude', for whatever personal reason (I don't believe in conspiracies) is bringing Obama's refusal to produce a long-form birth certificate back to public attention. Trump won't be silenced by lefties calling him a 'birther' Good for him.

That so many well-known conservatives have side-stepped the issue by declaring that they believed Obama was a U.S. citizen, mostly because they assumed the issue did not resonate with the electorate, is disappointing but typical of far too many 'conservatives' afraid of criticism from the leftmedia. Apparently, Donald Trump isn't afraid of the flak and is keeping up the questioning about the elusive Obama long-form birth certificate. This may go nowhere or it could have very serious ramifications should Obama be forced to prove his U.S. citizenship and eligibility to hold the office of U.S. president but be unable to do so. If Obama can, at long last, produce the sought after birth certificate proving his U.S. citizenship (and eligibility to hold the office of president)the issue will die quickly and the only downside is that Trump will look a bit foolish, and not for the first time, either. That it took a media hound like Donald Trump to get this serious issue back in the public eye is a bit odd - but I'll take it.

"Agree with post 62?"

For the most part. The only minor point is that some self-identified "birthers" insist that Obama was born in Kenya, that his father was Jimi Hendrix, that his birth certificate lists muslim as his religion, that he traveled to Pakistan when American citizens were not permitted to (which was never the case) etc.

Some of these may be true; however, I think the majority of self-identified "birthers" (myself included) simply want the facts because they've been methodically withheld. I think SCOTUS needs to rule on this with all available evidence provided, but to date, the American judiciary has exhibited shameful cowardice in dealing (or more precisely, not dealing) with this issue.

So to answer your question, yes, I think most "birthers" are simply insisting on Constitutional adherence, but there are some fringe elements who claim some arcane factoids for which there's really no good evidence.

MSM just got the broadside.

Ummm...there needs to be an active campaign to pin the blame for this squarely on the shoulders of the MSM. Complete with election year style commercials.

The Donald taking a swing at Abercrombie is only mildly amusing to me.

When The Donald publicly starts asking more serious questions about the bc then i’ll take notice.

What would be in asking a more serious question?

How is a prez vetted and who vetted him?

Your guess is as good as mine.
