For the most part. The only minor point is that some self-identified "birthers" insist that Obama was born in Kenya, that his father was Jimi Hendrix, that his birth certificate lists muslim as his religion, that he traveled to Pakistan when American citizens were not permitted to (which was never the case) etc.
Some of these may be true; however, I think the majority of self-identified "birthers" (myself included) simply want the facts because they've been methodically withheld. I think SCOTUS needs to rule on this with all available evidence provided, but to date, the American judiciary has exhibited shameful cowardice in dealing (or more precisely, not dealing) with this issue.
So to answer your question, yes, I think most "birthers" are simply insisting on Constitutional adherence, but there are some fringe elements who claim some arcane factoids for which there's really no good evidence.
