A text message from my nephew in Japan. He works for a contractor that services news organizations worldwide.

Kudos for his courage...
Those people need all the help they can get.
Wish someone would send those workers better suits. Right now, very few have them.
LOL
Stop it! I have a horrible fever and flu. It hurts to laugh.
LOL
I’ll assume you must want info on the radios. Where he goes radios sometimes are the only communication. Satellite Cell Phones they have and the news guys bring their own. I know the radios use some military frequencies.
His employer has supplies staged all over the world. This Japan warehouse, one of 3, was set up 8 days before the big one, just a coincidence.
Just for you:

The part about the trash burn made me go WTF? It’s going to be a long messy cleanup no matter how you look at it, but one thing I do not see happening is them shoving all the trash in a pile and setting it on fire.
Besides, the DOD is not running anything with this. All the US Forces assigned to Operation Tomodachi are basically supporting the JGSDF. They’re not setting up shop and doing stuff on their own.
Hmmm...hadn't thought of that. Tsunami goes in and wipes out everything and goes back out taking everything with it. Damn.
You have my sympathy. I’m on day 3 and only now starting to think I *might* live through it. I’ve never had the flu before. I hope to NEVER again.

Gary will not stick his neck out. His employer, TASC, keeps them safe. They let the cub reporters run out and glow in the dark.
I hope you feel better soon!
I got it in every single joint, makes my bursitis unbearable, feels like someone took a two by four to lower back, punched in between my shoulder blades.
My quads and calves feel like I had one heck of a workout and Hamstrings keep trying to cramp on me.
If that wasn’t enough, three times today it felt like someone had poured kerosene over me and lit it.
and Piesta Resistance’? A headache at the base of my skull, the top of my head and it feels like someone is poking my eyes with chopsticks from the inside.
Ugh!!!
Is there a gas leak at your house? WTF are you babbling about? I know - you're both on Alex Jones' payroll, aren't you?
Re: Debris
I thought it just circulated in the North Pacific. My brother is on a NUCLEAR SUB and has to go around it or dive deep under.
LOL
You dog!
Nice family friendly screen name as well.....
I have never felt like this before but have two other friends who were laid up for a week.
It is literally sucking the life out of me.
Six this is two, you are garbled, can you say again, over?
Wow. Another flu victim at the end of March? Both of my kids and I got it. Son had a very mild case. Daughter and I have been completely miserable. I’ve been out of bed for about 5 or 6 hours today compared to 1 or 2 for the past 2 days. Hubby has so far avoided it. I’m afraid it’s not quite done with me yet though. Still hurts to move my eyes and the chills/fever/bodyaches/weakness are still here, although to a lesser degree.
Sorry for double off topic posts. The text is odd to me too.
I must have stepped in a pool of Agent Orange.
Drink lots of water and orange juice if you can. Otherwise clear fluids and electrolytes. You will get better. I think we may have had the same thing. It way sucks for about 10 days.
