Trump: 'Why Can't He Produce a Birth Certificate?'

Real estate mogul and potential 2012 presidential contender Donald Trump defended his questioning of President Obama’s birth certificate Monday morning with a defiant, “this guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t.”

“I am really concerned,” Trump said in a phone interview on Fox & Friends. “You have no doctors that remember, you have no nurses -- this is the president of the United States -- that remember. … He could have been born outside of this country. Why can’t he produce a birth certificate?”

Trump, who has been flirting with a run for president, first made a remark about the so-called “birther” issue last week on The View. Obama provided news organizations with a scan of his birth certificate during his 2008 campaign, which some oulets also independently vetted.

“I brought it up just routinely, and now I’m starting to wonder myself whether he was born in this country,” Trump said Monday.

The problem with this theory is that Trump does NOT come off as a kook.

He plainly underscores his success and intelligence, and he is a popular, well-liked figure. And no way would Donald Trump volunteer his own ego and reputation to bolster that of the jug-eared idiot, Obama.

Theory=fail.

Good point. You would think that some of these folks would still be around and during the campaign you would have expected to see the MSM interviewing a bunch of them gushing and gooing over how great Barry is and wonderful he was as a child and maybe his high school basketball coach etc. I’m not remembering any of that.

Since I am running late for an appointment I cannot look this up right now, but IIRC there is an exception for diplomats etc. If you, an American citizen were an US Ambassador to say Germany and your child was born there to you and your American citizen wife, would your child not be considered a natural born citizen.

Actually it became the USPS in 1971 under the Postal Reorganization Act of 1970.

Trump is an ass but he’s 100% on the mark with this one.I had to produce a BC instantaneously for the State Police in NJ in order to get a license to work a crappy job in a casino.I also had to produce one when I was a kid in order to get maritime credentialed for trash duty on a ferry boat.I don’t think its a lot to ask for Odumbo to cough up his BC .

You are correct, it became USPS in 1971. I went back and checked it out again, obama's registration form was marked USPO which was discontinued in 1971. I had my dates wrong. but does not change the fact that the draft registeration form was faked.

Trump sees the writing on the wall and wants to be known as the guy with the brains and balls to force Soebarkahs hand.

This literally gives him power. After Soebarkah put LTC Lakin in jail for asking the same questions, he comes off as a righteous defender of innocent men that are wrongly imprisoned.

This redeems Trump and gives him hero status if Soebarkah falls and Lakin is exonerated and reinstated. He will be a character in an epic story that will never die. It will outlive his buildings. A 1000 years from now, people will still know who it was that was brave enough to expose the greatest fraud in history. Trump sees his chance to publicly beat an arrogant thug, and he savors it. God bless him.

My guess is that someone other than Barack Obama Sr. is the father. Maybe the pregnancy is the reason the Dunhams moved to Hawaii in the first place. And I don't know whether Obama Sr. ever married Obama’s mother.

Again, documentation could clear all this up. that it is not being produced speaks volumes.

Even if Trump is just as “calculating” as the Republicans on this issue, he has no “political career” to speak of so if being labeled a “birther” destroys his chances at being president he hasn't lost much. the Republican candidates are all primarily politicians, so they are treading far more lightly - or rather not at all.

Several possible options:

He was not born in this country.

His father is not who he has said he is.

His mother is not who he has said she is.

He was born in this country but, as part of a family that emigrated to Indonesia, renounced their citizenship.

He ‘claimed’ his Kenyan/Indonesian citizenship to avoid the SS registration and get a foreign passport - traveled to Pakistan and got Manchurianized.

He lied about any or all of the above to fraudulently obtain educational assistance at one or more institutions.

There is a reason this man and his handlers have exhausted a lot of capital (financial and journalistically)to keep the answers to these and other questions off the table. Trump, as much as I might dislike him, has good reason to reinvigorate this question. Ultimately, it is a trivially simple thing to exhibit a real birth certificate to bring all questions to close.

Yes you are right and since he is not a “career politician” his livelihood is not dependent on getting elected or re-elected. Trump could run for President and if he does not get elected he just goes back to his wonderful billionaire lifestyle and its all good. Also if he only serves one term as President what does he care? He has so much other stuff going on in his other life. I just hope he stays in it long enough to really shake things up. God knows the ohers won’t.
