At 12-years-old, Jacob Barnett is a genius. Hes already in college, his IQ is higher than Einsteins, and for fun hes working on an expanded version of that mans theory of relativity. So far, the signs are good. Professors are astounded. So what else does a boy genius with vast brilliance do in his free time? Disprove the big bang, of course.

When Jacob Barnett first learned about the Schrödinger equation for quantum mechanics, he could hardly contain himself.
For three straight days, his little brain buzzed with mathematical functions.
From within his 12-year-old, mildly autistic mind, there gradually flowed long strings of pluses, minuses, funky letters and upside-down triangles -- a tapestry of complicated symbols that few can understand.
He grabbed his pencil and filled every sheet of paper before grabbing a marker and filling up a dry erase board that hangs in his bedroom. With a single-minded obsession, he kept on, eventually marking up every window in the home.
Strange, say some.
Genius, say others.
But entirely normal for Jacob, a child prodigy who used to crunch his cereal while calculating the volume of the cereal box in his head.

My post above was a bit too terse. It seems to me that he has a great mathematical mind and a surprisingly advanced grasp of physics for his age. However it appears to me, that, unless quite a few major premises in the field of cosmology and high-energy physics are totally off base, he is currently working on the basis of some false assumptions, so his work is faulty.
This is no crime in science and in logical thinking, though.
My hope is that when he realizes those fundamental errors, he is strong enough to admit, correct, retrench, and move on from there based on correct propositions, instead of the alternative behaviors of denial, depression, withdrawal, etc. That will require a very good group of mentors and friends, or incredible inner strength. A good scientist must have great respect for the fact that we “stand on the shoulders of giants” and be willing to spend a great amount of time studying their efforts: time he has not yet had in sufficient quantity and I will not fault him on that.
Thus far he seems to have been handled with good balance by his parents and others. Right now I would correct logical or mathematical errors I saw. I would not suggest correcting errors of assumption right now unless they were egregious - his passion is driving these pursuits and I would not want to risk dampening that passion. Even with faulty assumptions, the mathematical and logical training he is gaining from this pursuit can stand him in great stead in the future.
Also - though I doubt it - perhaps it is our assumptions that are faulty. If his are, proper logic and mathematics will reveal that to him, which brings us back to my third paragraph.
He seems to have tremendous potential to contribute to mathematical science, and I wish him well; I pray he does well.

So lets expand. IF you could travel to the very point at which this universe came into being, what you would find is an almost impenetrable wall because the force that got through it from some other universe was so small, so heavy, so compact, and so strong, and the point of entry so minute, that you could never get back through it. The shockwave from THAT is still moving, expanding outward, expanding this universe. ONE tiny thing that contained the entire set of building blocks for this universe blew a hole in that wall, pushing something before it and pulling something more after it and the wall closed behind it.
It was quite like shooting a bullet from a handgun into ice. When the bullet hits the ice, it spins rapidly giving it a spiral effect. The bullet spins. So whatever came through did not enter a heated or superheated space. It, itself, was superheated. It hit extreme cold and blew up sending anything around it into a circular explosive motion creating a spiral. Everything in this cosmos has a spiral effect. I am saying that the universe itself is a spiral, not just the galaxies it spawns. Super hot into icy cold.
It can, and will be, done again with something LIKE the Hadron collider...though I dont think we have even come close to making something powerful enough to have that effect.
ONE eensy-weensy superheated something will blow through the edge of this universe into an icy cold void and begin a new one. You wont see it. You wont hear it. You wont even know it. It might have already been done many times by someones/somethings we can only imagine.
And whatever goes there, will be on the same order as this because this contains all that there is from the previous universe and the next will contain exactly the same thing. The only difference will be what form life takes.
I believe in G-d and there is no heresy or blasphemy in what I am saying. If you would like to try an experiment, grab a sheet of paper and a ton of black lead pencils. Put a dot on the sheet of paper. THAT is the first universe.Then continue dotting the paper until it is completely covered. Do it again to the same sheet of paper over and over until you run out of pencils. You could conceivably do that in YOUR forever until all the pencils in the world were used up...but the point is, after you have run out of pencils, can you possibly find that ONE dot that you started with? Then try to imagine infinity.
The mind that controls the hand that holds he pencil that makes the first dot is G-d, and it isnt a matter to me of if, but when, and that will always be the question. The mystery of eternity.

The universe is still spinning. Eventually, maybe millions, maybe billions, quadrillions of years from now, it will stop spinning and stop expanding. Then, it will have reached the perfect equillibrium and continue inside its parameters. Conditions will be such that the galaxies will continue to spiral, merge, and create new galaxies. Stars will explode and the universe will start to fill up inside itself because there is nowhere left to expand. That could continue for quadrillions of years before the universe becomes too crowded to support new galaxies.
THEN, this universe will begin to die, which could take quadrillions more years. Logical progression.
Whatis then left will be so compact and so dense that we might call it a black hole...or something.

Maybe. Find the center and the outer edge, and you can prove that theory.
Given that Everything is the Universe is moving, how can you designate an 'unmoving' spot in the Universe, such as the 'center'?
Exactly, but before God could bring forth grass he first arranged the creation of soil, water, and sun. It is best not to allow yourself to get too carried away simplifying the concepts.

Based on the article he sounds like he hasn’t got a clue. It’s the kind of stuff high school kids do to get out of homework.
