Our children are bombarded with sex and filth from a very early age. Just look at today’s music videos. Even singers in their mid teens are making sexually suggestive videos.

It’s disgusting. The needle on this country’s moral compass is teetering on the bearing, about to completely fall off. It has already happened to Europe, they are completely lost at this point

The disgustingly appropriately named Studds (RAT-MA) was caught in an admitted “affair” with a 17 year old boy and got an ovation when he returned to the chambers. He may as well have been wearing a Toga. We are already down the slippery slope.

[[It is a glittering facade, a meaningless wasteland where cheap thrills, drugs, and sexual excess are employed to control and occupy a shallow and largely mindless rabble. ]]

progressives won’t be happy until they’ve turned this country into a soddom and ghomorrah- the idiots call it ‘fredom’ but it’s pure destruction- they just aren’t bright enough to realize it. They don’t realize that in an effort to be ‘free’ they become bondslaves to deviance- perversion and indecency. Let’s just hope theswe blind folk don’t drag everyone down with them

Abercrombie criticized for selling push-up tops to little girls

By the CNN Wire Staff
March 26, 2011 9:54 p.m. EDT

(CNN) -- No stranger to controversy, U.S. retailer Abercrombie & Fitch has come under fire for offering a push-up bikini top to young girls.

Its "Ashley" bikini -- described as "padded" and a "push-up" -- was posted on the Abercrombie Kids website earlier this week.

The company declined to comment Saturday but noted it has since updated the description of its bikini online.

The product is now being offered as a padded, "striped triangle." Bottoms are sold separately.

"How is this okay for a second-grader?" asked Rebecca Odes in a recent post on the Babble parenting blog.

"Playing at sexy is an inevitable and important part of growing up. But there's a difference between exploring these ideas on your own and having them sold to you in a children's catalog," she wrote.

Gail Dines, a sociology professor at Wheelock College in Boston, similarly slammed the top, saying it would encourage girls to think about themselves in a sexual way before they are ready.

"It (also) sends out really bad signals to adult men about young girls being appropriate sexual objects," she told CNN affiliate WHDH.

This is not the first time the company, known for its sexy style of marketing campaigns, has found itself in hot water with consumers.

In 2002, the retailer pulled controversial T-shirts after complaints they were racially insensitive. One shirt showed Chinese laundry workers with conical hats and the phrase, "Wong Brothers Laundry Service: Two Wongs Can Make It White."

In 2003, the company -- under pressure from some consumer groups -- said it would stop issuing racy catalogues and halt the publication of its holiday book, which featured nude young adult models in sexually suggestive poses.

Sexualization gets the cart before the horse

The virtues of kindness and generosity are enhanced by
Beauty in Women, and
Physical worth in Men

Beauty is a magnifier of Kindness
Worth is a magnifier of Generosity

But people get this all wrong

They grasp for Beauty,
forgetting it's proper function, Kindness

They grasp for Wealth/Status/Power,
Forgetting their proper function; Generosity

I watched, just out of curiosity, Toddlers and Tiaras. It literally made me sick. Mere children acting like divas, being abusive to their “parents”, and the parents letting them get away with it. because they would do anything to get their kids to go on the state and win stuff. I had to turn it off, it was just too upsetting.

My first thought was ... this soul is in grave danger. It just breaks my heart.

— Wonderful post! —

The thought is a work in progress

the social virtues of Kindness and Generosity
Frequently are viewed very differently
Between the Genders

As are the tools for these virtues
Beauty and Worth

When children are pushed to be “sexy” in presentation and behavior, while they’re too young to experience sexual desire in an appropriate context, they learn to dissociate sex from any personal feelings. It’s all an act that one is doing for an audience, to procure some reward, whether parental approval or peer acclaim ... or, when they’re older, status, power, or money.

It’s a Catch-22 situation: on the one hand, children are told their bodies mean everything - you’ve got to be “sexy,” even if you’re 9 - but on the other hand, our bodies mean nothing, because little children don’t experience sexual desire, although they can (when sick adults get at them) experience genital pleasure.

The whole topic makes me want to shoot some people, just to make a point.

Interesting thoughts, but I’m a little vague on the direct connection between Beauty and Kindness.

Worth and Generosity I get, but not the other connection. The most beautiful women are often the least kind.

I get your point, but the picture doesn’t affect me that way.

I just see an absolutely adorable little girl playing dress-up. Makes me feel very protective.

Unfortunately I’m aware there are men who see something quite different.

Interesting
I just watched an animated movie
Happily Never After 2
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235837/

It demonstrated the dichotomy well
Without shoving it down your throat

Then you need to review a few more child beauty pageants. I find them revolting.
