A hard-core group of liberal House Democrats is questioning the constitutionality of U.S. missile strikes against Libya, with one lawmaker raising the prospect of impeachment during a Democratic Caucus conference call on Saturday.
Reps. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.), Donna Edwards (Md.), Mike Capuano (Mass.), Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), Maxine Waters (Calif.), Rob Andrews (N.J.), Sheila Jackson Lee (Texas), Barbara Lee (Calif.) and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D.C.) all strongly raised objections to the constitutionality of the presidents actions during that call, said two Democratic lawmakers who took part.
Kucinich, who wanted to bring impeachment articles against both former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney over Iraq only to be blocked by his own leadership asked why the U.S. missile strikes arent impeachable offenses.
Kucinich also questioned why Democratic leaders didnt object when President Barack Obama told them of his plan for American participation in enforcing the Libyan no-fly zone during a White House Situation Room meeting on Friday, sources told POLITICO.
And liberals fumed that Congress hadnt been formally consulted before the attack and expressed concern that it would lead to a third U.S. war in the Muslim world.

The 10.5 earthquake under my chair as I read this was amazing. I’ve actually read that LIBERAL, LEFTIST, Democrats are repeating the accusations they constantly threw at former Pres. Bush, at THEIR OWN. I’m stunned, and just a TINY, TINY bit hopeful.
The regretful aspect of this is that it has taken them so long to see the obvious on a sunny day.
Ready to tip over the edge.
The Communist Caucus doesn't like it? Are we reduced to agreeing with them on this? Sheesh. I feel sick.
After the 2008 elections James Carville famously predicted 40 years of liberal rule in the US. My what a duifference 2 years makes...
This is he biggest round of BS I have ever seen. It is a smoke screen to make us believe there is a rift among the ranks.
And judging from the photo, like the ignoramus he is, it looks like he used the point of his toe. Brazilians and football fans would laugh at that.
This WAS a civil war, but the US and others have taken sides to strike Libyas existing government. An analogy in Americas civil war would have UN forces bombing Lincoln.
Just what does “No Fly Zone” mean?
IS there any word from Code Pin yet? Nope...
No, but his neighbor Calypso Louie has spoken out...

Yep, I’d say the obama has definitely jumped the shark now!

Never let a good impeachment go to waste.
Well, Obama’s making the right people mad. I guess he’s finding out that a President has to do the right thing and ignore the crazies.
But, but . . . the man’s a warrior! It would be against his nature to turn away from a chance to defend our country from grave threats like the Libyan tyrant or to risk losing the battle by taking time to consult Congress.
This time, there ought to be enough liberal Democrats in the Senate to join in and Impeach Obama.
Go for it, Congress!!!
When asked about this inconvenience this morning, that great South Carolina hawk Lindsey Graham says he's "comfortable" with the president's unilateral decision to use American assets to kill foreign nationals on their own turf, i.e., "war."
However justified Senator Graham might believe this "coalition" police action, or whatever, might be, you might think the lack of a congressional sanction of some kind might, at least, make him uneasy.
That a Republican Senator is "comfortable" with all this make me "uncomfortable" with regard to the future of the rule of law.
Andrew McCarthy's oped in NR is an important read.

Right thing?
This war against Libya is aimed at letting the expansion of radical islam continue! Once Libya is crushed those in the middle east who will do us all great harm will have yet another land to breed a muslim force that’s main objective is global domination and conversion or extermination of those who stand in the way.
Right thing? Think again.
Rush said something (before BO took office) along the lines of, "This guy is gonna be so bad, he may be the first impeached by his own party."
Pass the popcorn!
