You have to love it when liberal Democrats fight one another for a change. As uncomfortable as it is to appear to be in the same boat with goons like BJ Lee and Captain K, not to mention Farrakhan, I am more uncomfortable with the United Nations supplanting the role of Congress in committing U.S. forces to war. We are, necessarily, depriving persons of life without due process, and its disturbing to hear nothing whatsoever mentioned yet of the War Powers Act.

When asked about this inconvenience this morning, that great South Carolina hawk Lindsey Graham says he's "comfortable" with the president's unilateral decision to use American assets to kill foreign nationals on their own turf, i.e., "war."

However justified Senator Graham might believe this "coalition" police action, or whatever, might be, you might think the lack of a congressional sanction of some kind might, at least, make him uneasy.

That a Republican Senator is "comfortable" with all this make me "uncomfortable" with regard to the future of the rule of law.

Andrew McCarthy's oped in NR is an important read.

This all is opening a can of worms that will lead to the UN sending foreign troops to Wisconsin and Arizona.
