MANCHESTER, N.H. — A day after Donald Trump raised questions about President Barack Obama’s citizenship, Rudy Giuliani on Friday swatted down the "birthers" as a waste of time, saying it's "clear" the president was born in America.
The former New York City mayor — making his first trip to New Hampshire of the 2012 presidential cycle as he weighs another run for the White House — made the comments to POLITICO just before he spoke at the Manchester GOP Lincoln Day dinner here.
"He's born in the United States, I don't see any real question about that," Giuliani said. "And even if some people have some doubts in the back of their minds it's really too late and futile. ... We have so many more important things to talk about."
If he said “I come to bury the birthers, not to praise them” it might be OK to hear how the rest went. I’m sure it stopped there, however.

A group so select it leaves out Obama’s good friend, HI Governor Neil Abercrombie, who has admitted to the Star Advertiser that an investigation found that what they have is in the Archives rather than in the Vital Records Office and not likely to convince people that Obama was born in Hawaii.
Right after he said that the media and RINO’s went on a charge to say how stupid it is for anybody to have questions about Obama’s documentation. Revealing to anybody who was paying attention just how pathetic the media and RINO’s really are. And how willing to lie to us while overlooking criminal activity on the part of those covering for Obama.
Those who don’t understand the importance of the rule of law are not fit to be leaders at this point in America’s history, when we need to re-establish the rule of law in a very big way, if it’s not too late.

This is where I was happy to see Trump having fun with the Obama legitimacy.
Trumpster is serving the role of celebrity lightning rod.
These are useful to raise public consciousness while candidates stay above the fray.
Republicans typically lack this advantage because most celebrities are leftists.
I didn’t get that. What I got is that nobody in authority is going to hold this man to the fire, so we might as well move onto other things.
I know a person who is conservative with a capital C; her opinion is that even if it is proven he isn’t from the US, the elite will protect him because the Powerful protect the powerful. The Republicans are not really on the side of anyone who shakes up the power structure; look how they are hitting Palin from both sides.
People like OReilly and Guiliani just see nothing good out of chasing this down; they don’t want to get sidetracked. I’ll bet a lot of powerful Pubs are birthers and just won’t get caught up in it.
Obama’s legacy will be damaged by this; but nobody of power out there today has the cajones to pursue it.
We have so many more important things to talk about.

That is obvious to Trump and Michele. Hopefully the GOP nominee will realize it as well. Run on the Birther issue. Let them laugh all they want. Pound them with Where Is the Birth Certificate ads. Make them address the issue. What fun that would be. We would run out of popcorn here on FR.
