Judge says Muhammad fit for trial in soldier death
Updated: 3/15 6:00 pm

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A Pulaski County circuit judge's declaration that Abdulhakim Muhammad is fit to stand trial has cleared the way for his trial to begin July 18 on charges stemming from the fatal shooting of a soldier at a Little Rock recruiting station, and the wounding of another man.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Judge Herb Wright pronounced Muhammad fit for trial Tuesday after Muhammad defense attorney Claiborne Ferguson said he would not challenge a state examination that ruled the defendant fit.

Muhammad, a Muslim convert, has admitted he is responsible for the June 1, 2009, shootings, claiming they were retaliation for U.S. policy in the Middle East. His father, Melvin Bledsoe, appeared last week before a congressional panel on Islamic radicalization, telling lawmakers his son was "brainwashed" into becoming a terrorist.

Interesting to hear his dad said that he had been brainwashed by Islamic radicalism.

And the father of the underwear bomber had reported his son as having been radicalized.

So in these two cases, the fathers have said that their sons were radicalized and inspired to evil by radical Islam. But the liberals keep insisting that there is no connection between Islam and terrorism, all religions have terrorists, Timothy McVeigh was a Christian, etc. etc.

And some liberals said it was bigoted/racist for King to hold these hearings in the first place. Again, the liberal view being that there are many threats, means we shouldn’t focus on any particular threat which keeps rearing its ugly head, apparently.

And Eric Holder, under questioning in a hearing a while back, couldn’t imagine what compelled the Ft. Hood shooter to do his evil work.

Political correctness may yet get us all killed.

I know this is slightly off topic, but every time a liberal tries to make the point about Timothy McVeigh supposedly being a Christian, we should perform our civic duty and remind said liberal that McVeigh was in fact not a Christian, but an agnostic instead.

yeah, but a Muslim medic died at the World Trade Center. And the KKK was a terrorist organization.
and Timothy McVeigh was white.

So I guess they should just let Abdulhakim Muhammad go, because American is just too flawed to treat poor little Abdulhakim Muhammad fairly.

Well, that's what it sounds like from the left. Eff'em!

If he had been raised right no one could have brainwashed him to do this.
