Just reported large aftershock, 7.2 about, around sendai area again.
Earthquake in its own right.
That’s why they still have tsunami warnings in effect in Japan.
Wow. Absolutely horrific what is happening to Japan.
Prayers continuing for the people of Japan.
What I am worried about is the nuclear situation. Not only for Japan but the jet stream can carry radiation over to here.

Hit it, hit it, hit it, quit it!
It is certainly a concern. Thing is at least if such a thing occurs and it becomes reality, we will have time to prepare here for it.

Well, pretty much all of the earthquakes today for me were normal.. didn’t blink an eye at them (I am far from Sendai.. about 200 miles due South) and on high ground...
But I ask anyone (religious or not) to pray for they folks up in that area.. some families are still trying to find their kids who were in school at the time...
All well in Chiba/Tokyo area atm..

the technology of those nuke plants is actually working, the containment vessels have not been breached despite an earthquake and flood of Biblical proportions
Those people working through all these aftershocks to stabilize the reactors are truly heroic
It seems about 8 or 9 workers have died at oil refineries and other power plants from fumes and burns, of course we hear nothing about that
Worry more about who is going to buy American debt and the spike in unemployment and the commodities inflation the disruption of Japanese economy is going to cause here and worldwide
I am thinking about buying some iodide pills just to be safe.
Oh.. 1 more thing, and I may get flamed for it..
As much humor and jokes that fly here on FR.. now is NOT the time...
Consider it done. Take care of yourself.
Actually the latest report on tv is confirming a meltdown and other reactors having simular problems. They are saying that this could effect the globe.
Agree for the most part, but some people deal with stress/bad situations with humor, even though it doesn’t seem appropriate. It is their coping mechanism.
Well.. if the meltdown does happen... the Pacific storms between here and there will filter the fallout quite well..
