You’ve got to be very careful when dealing with union thugs.

Public unions need to be outlawed or they will hold the taxpayers hostage, delaying and/or refusing the service that is expected.
And when it comes to the unions that control police and fire responsiveness, this can become very dangerous and deadly!
Anyone crossing them can expect to be blacklisted! And if you are registered Republican, expcet to be added to that list!

"The Taft-Hartley Act (also the "Labor-Management Relations Act"), passed in 1947, loosened some of the restrictions on employers, changed NLRB election procedures, and added a number of new limitations on unions. The Act, among other things, prohibits jurisdictional strikes and secondary boycotts by unions, and authorizes individual states to pass "right-to-work laws", regulates pension and other benefit plans established by unions and provides that federal courts have jurisdiction to enforce collective bargaining agreements."
Yes, but who is going to enforce this provision? The FLRA and the DOJ are in communist hands. We have reached the stage where it is much of the government against the people, and the police are being compromised in some cases, as well. Will police move against businesses that support Governor Walker - park patrol cars out front to discourage businesses, roust customers, not respond to 911 calls, etc. We need to purge the police, as well, starting with the Madison police chief.

And when it comes to the unions that control police and fire responsiveness, this can become very dangerous and deadly! Check my posting history for my not-so-subtle view on labor unions, public and private. In short, unions were, are and will always be EVIL. Their entire premise is built atop a platform of anti-business antagonism.
What's to prevent firing recalcitrant public sector policemen and firemen? These services would be better handled by non-union private entities. In particular, Pinkerton has a very good track record of combating union goons and mob thugs.

The Mob would be a lot easier to deal with if they could just rid themselves of union influence.

I wish every grocery store in Wisconsin would turn them down. Then, I hope the governor’s supporters turn out in droves to purchase groceries at these stores. Make the rabble rousers drive to another state every time they need a can of beans or a loaf of bread!

Eh..depends. Sargento Cheese was one of the companies that pulled its ads off Glenn Beck’s show because of threats from muslims. I haven’t purchased their product since.
I’m open to reconsidering anything though.

>> Is this not an illegal secondary boycott? <<
You beat me to the question. It would seem at first glance to be illegal.
On the other hand, it might not be illegal under Taft-Hartley or the Wagner Act if the police union isn’t covered either by Wagner or by the Taft-Hartley Act.
But then on the third hand, it might be illegal under the Sherman Antitrust Act and/or RICO. One certainly hopes so.
(We clearly need a labor lawyer on this thread!)

People do not usually respond well to intimidation, especially when brought by service providers paid for via their taxes.
Kwik Trip is one of the companies targeted. In some small towns, they are nearly the only gas stations.
If these were my companies, I would be hiring private security and training that security in fire-fighting and prevention tactics.
These are outrageous tactics and I doubt it ends well.

Maybe I'm missing something but I just spent way more time than I should have searching the Wisconsin GAO site for contribution information and from what I could see M&I, as an entity, contributed contributed $48.19 to Friends of Scott Walker while individuals lising M&I as an employer contributed a whopping $2,750.00 from 8 employees. By contrast, those who listed "homemaker" as an employer contributed $78,450.28.

Hmmm, I think we should ALL call them and tell then to shove it where the sun don’t shine. Let them know the American people are AGAINST them.....and also point out how well the AZ “boycott” worked out.
