Radical Islam, Little Rock shooting spotlighted in congressional hearing
Updated: 3/10 5:37 pm

WASHINGTON D.C. - - Melvin Bledsoe is one of the people testifying in a controversial hearing on Capital Hill in Washington D.C. His son, Abdulhakim Muhammad, 25, is charged with capital murder in Pulaski County for the attack on two soldiers.

"If we knew our serious his extremism had become we could have put in every effort to prevent the tragedy in Arkansas from even happening," Bledsoe says.

Melvin Bledsoe offered testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee about the supposed radicalization of his son Abdulhakim Muhammad. Describing him as a happy kid and teenager, he says he noticed a change around the age of 20 when his son took down a photo of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. off the wall in the bedroom of his Memphis home.

"We asked Carlos, 'what is going on with you'? He replied that he is now a new convert to Islam and everything he does from now on is to honor Allah," Bledsoe testified.

Muhammad admits to shooting and killing Pvt. William Long outside the Army recruiting office on Rodney Parham in June 2009.

“Do the mosques know they are responsible for the radicalization of your son,” asked Rep Michael McCaul (R-Texas).

"Sure they know, but they're waiting around to do it again to someone else's child,” Bledsoe responded. “That's why I'm here today hoping the American people that you're listening. I hope you hear me."

No matter what radical Islam does in America the liberal media will always say it’s the action of one or more persons and has nothing to do with Islam in general.

Muhammad admits to shooting and killing Pvt. William Long outside the Army recruiting office ....

Of course, as we all know the real problem in not Islam, it's guns.

< /sarcasm > assuming it's necessary.

Here's Naveed Haq, who killed one and wounded 8 in a shooting spree at The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. He gained access to the secure building by holding a gun to the head of a 12 year old daughter of a worker while she contacted the receptionist.

My wife was CFO there until a couple of years before the shooting. If she had still been working, she would have been shot. Her friend is dead.

"Prosecutors also introduced as evidence audio recordings from 10 phone calls that Haq placed to his family after his arrest. In the calls, recorded by the King County Jail, Haq told his mother he was “a soldier of Islam.”

Witnesses testified that Haq, who is of Pakistani heritage, railed against Jews and U.S.-Israeli policies as he opened fire at the federation.

On the 911 tape, Haq said he was tired of the world ignoring the Muslim point of view.

“I don’t care if I die,” Haq told the dispatcher. “This is just to make a point.”

P.S. – My brother was a co-pilot for United, and had a last minute schedule change so that he flew United Flight 93 on 9/10 instead of 9/11.

P.P.S. – My rabbi knew the rabbi who was murdered in Mumbai.

only .7% of the US population is Muslim, and yet how many of the attacks or attempted attacks here have been done by a Muslim?

- Arkansas shooting
- Underwear bomber
- Shoe bomber
- Christmas tree bomber
- Fort Dix guys
- Fort Hood guy
- the New York truck bomb guy

are just a few that come to mind.

And the MSM is worried about radical Christians that might, maybe, could, do the same thing.
