...."In 30 minutes, 18 state senators undid 50 years of civil rights in Wisconsin," Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller wrote in a statement. "In the dark of the night, 18 Senate Republicans conspired to take government away from the people. Now it's time for the people of Wisconsin to take back their government."

Said the Democrat leader while he was hiding out in Illinois!

Poor Michael Moore:

He’s just trying to get what he couldn’t get during his college years:

The ability to look cool and maybe this time..get laid.

Most lefties are STILL mentally and emotionally stuck in their early 20’s.

I watched the video of Moore on Maddow’s show discussing the events in Madison. In addition, he mentioned something about the MI state government “dissolving” local governments. I have found nothing in my web searches concerning this. Does anyone know what the hell he’s talking about? I know he generally doesn’t. Just looking for some information on his claims.

Do we know when the Assembly votes on the bill passed by the Senate?

I think they plan to take it up at 11:00 today (Thursday).

The bill, which has drawn international attention, is to be taken up at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Assembly.

With Democrats absent, Republicans advance collective bargaining changes

“....What began a month ago as a Republican effort in one small U.S. state to balance the budget has now turned into a confrontation with unions that could be the biggest since then President Ronald Reagan fired striking air traffic controllers nearly 30 years ago.

If the plan is approved as expected in Wisconsin, a number of other states where Republicans swept to victory in the 2010 elections could follow. Legislatures including those in Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Idaho, Tennessee, and Kansas have already been working on union curbs of their own.

The stakes are high for labor because more than a third of U.S. public employees such as teachers, police and civil service workers belong to unions while only 6.9 percent of private sector workers are unionized. Unions are the biggest single source of funding for the Democratic party...”

Just got an email from a friend in Wisconsin and it said that union thugs from Chicago are headed that way right now. Pray for cooler heads to prevail. That said, I don’t hold out much hope for any civility, at this point. Go Walker!

Every small town in the midwest incorporated a town government, complete with police, fire, utilities, libraries, parks, schools, ball fields, etc... The towns may only have 500 residents in total, but that never stopped the people who would make a living off other people's taxes.

Many of the towns in the above catagory have begun to see the light. They are dissolving their gubmint(unincorporating) and ceding the few real obligations back to their counties. I came from a town of 1,100 people with seven cops, a chief of police, five fire trucks, four ambulances, a huge library, three schools, a water and sewage utility, six park areas, three ball fields besides the ones on school property, five full time streets workers to work on streets that did not belong to the town in the first place! And so on................Did I forget the thirty three teachers and four administrators?

The buildup of all that crap came from the addiction to federal and state funding.

...and therefore should not be limited in any way. It is a RIGHT.

LOL....I think Moore is THE perfect talking head for unions. He's bloated from his excessive overindulgence as a direct result of the successes of his hypocritical capitalism. If liberals could reach a progressive plateau he'd be the shining example found at Hypocrites Nirvana.

The buildup of all that crap came from the addiction to federal and state funding.

If your town has a traffic light or two or three, that too is a result of federal (by the people) funding.

Is there anyone with a brain that cannot see the end result of our funding our own demise?
