...."In 30 minutes, 18 state senators undid 50 years of civil rights in Wisconsin," Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller wrote in a statement. "In the dark of the night, 18 Senate Republicans conspired to take government away from the people. Now it's time for the people of Wisconsin to take back their government."
And outside the statehouse, our colleagues at Wisconsin Public Television told us there were very loud demonstrations.
"All levels of the Capitol and its central rotunda are solid demonstrators, shoulder to shoulder," Art Hackett, a recently retired reporter for WPT told his colleague, Frederica Freyberg, who relayed the information to the NewsHour.
"While earlier reports said demonstrators crashed through security, at this hour (9:20 p.m. Wisconsin time) the security checkpoints have been abandoned by police officers," Hackett said. "Police presence is noticeably absent in and around the Capitol. This is in stark contrast to earlier days when police were there in huge numbers. Cars outside are driving around the perimeter of the Capitol constantly honking their horns. It sounds and feels like V.J. day, but they're not celebrating."
The fallout will reverberate in the schools on Thursday as well.
WPT senior news producer Andy Moore told the NewsHour Wednesday night that high school students in Madison have organized a student walkout Thursday afternoon in conjunction with filmmaker and activist Michael Moore....

The Senate minority leader guy, who accused the Republicans of acting in “the dark of night;” would this be the same guy who has been hiding out of state, night and day, to shirk his responsibilities?
You don’t have the civil right to fleece Americans.
Pray for America
Do we know when the Assembly votes on the bill passed by the Senate?
And then once the Assembly votes, how many days, if any, before the Governor can sign the bill into law?
I am trying to get a sense if it will all happen today.
I didn’t think this bloated slug Moore was a Wisconsin voter.
Why would anyone want a filthy pig as their man up front?
I heard the vote was at 11 am central time.
On Wisconsin!
The cowards that fled rather than fight, now claim that it was somehow unfair?
You don’t vote, you can’t complain.
Seems to me that if these students walk out of school for Michael Moore and his agenda, they should all be EXPELLED IMMEDIATELY, furthermore The fat slob should be Prosecuted for encouraging such a thing.
bttt
The Assembly is supposed to vote today, but I am worried if the demonstrators with a compliant police force, will allow the legislators to get to their jobs. Also, even if the /Assembly meets, the Democrats will try and delay the bill with endless amendments and talk.

Generalisso Moore is now calling for arrests of the rich.
He needs to be very publicly confronted with some questions about his hypocrisy.
Why are you calling for arrests of the rich from your mansion on Torch lake?
Why did you accept a million dollar film subsidy just days after saying this?
( “These are large multinational corporations Viacom, GE, Rupert Murdoch that own these studios,” said Moore at the Traverse City event. “Why do they need our money, from Michigan, from our taxpayers, when we’re already broke here? I mean, they play one state against another, and so they get all this free cash when they’re making billions already in profits. What’s the thinking behind that?”)
Its time to take the pig down.

Oh, the class, the civility, the patriotism, the civic duty.
Thank you Wisconsin republicans for your courage and your devotion to your state and our country.
I think they are meeting at 11 AM, but I’m sure there will be a lot of stalling going on AGAIN.
The Assembly will vote - and pass - the bill today (Thursday, March 10th). It will be on the Governor's desk by late today or first thing Friday for the signing ceremony!
Personally, I hope they seal the pens he uses in clear lucite and display them right next to the US Constitution for the next 500 years or so!
