But they didn't. And there were witnesses to it. A ski instructor was the first person there to pule the guy off and since the guy only got 3-4 blows in, I'm presuming that the ski instructor acted pretty much immediately. Even an experienced skier would take a couple seconds to get over to them; enough time for the guy to land some blows.
That tells me all I need to know about the incident.
pule = pull
Liberals think that conservative men like to beat up women and children. Liberals who like to beat up women and children join conservative websites, call themselves conservatives, and think they’re going to fit right in.
That tells me the man and his son were taking or about to take ski lessons, while the girl was not part of the class.
If my kid were in a serene condition, then threatened on the slope by an out of control teen in a calm area, I’d probably jump on the teen also to get them controlled.
If an innocent trusting loved one had been threatened, I can fully understand acting in self defense of his child.
According to Eagle County Sheriff's Office Lt. Mike McWilliam, she was skiing with a ski school class. Police: Man punched skier on Beaver Creek
Since Mr Filler’s Renown Expert license has been, presumably, revoked, may I have it?
Oh, for crying out loud. We have to go through this whole thing again proving the little girl wasn’t the spawn of Satan.

The 14-year-old girl from Mexico had been skiing on a beginner run, which Beaver Creek officials have identified as Haymaker trail, with a ski school class when she swerved to avoid a skier who had fallen in front of her, the statement said. The girl bumped into a 4-year-old boy who had been skiing with his father on the same run, McWilliam said. The boy and girl fell, the statement said.
Thanks.
If I had bumped into a 4 yr old kid next to their parents causing them to fall, I would expect them to become very defensive if not offensive to protect their kid.
There are some geographic locations where one might reasonably fear that kind of behavior. I don’t think that’s the standard behavior in civilized areas.
But...The girl **was** skiing in an out of control manner.
She **did** state that she needed to swerve to miss another skier. Sorry, but one should always give others in front and to the side, *** plenty*** of room, and be skiing slowly enough that in the event that something unexpected happens, one can avoid a collision and/or stop.
I hope she doesn't come to Deer Valley this week, while I'm there.
It’s probably just my uncivilized instinct that if I pushed a 4 yr old to the ground net to their parent, I suspect their parent might take it out on me. Just my read of human character. Of course some civilized parents just don’t care about what happens to their kids. /s
Civilized men don’t punch little girls in the face for falling down.
Children can also kill.
After reading the other posts, I see that the girl was in a ski class.
If the ski resort did take action against the girl, then she and her parents could make the case that the ski class was being taught improperly ( skiers skiing too close together, too fast) or that the girl had been placed in a class that was beyond her ability.
Now the little girl was trying to kill the little boy. ROFL
Running over a 4-year old would piss me off also, but hitting a kid
knowing it was a 14-year old I wouldn't do, the punch would break her neck.
Approximate size of a 4-year -old
Sometimes I just can't believe what I read on FR.
The ski resort's action against the father and lack of action against the girl tell me enough.
She was with a class. A ski instructor, who one could reasonably conclude was employed by the ski resort, was the first one on the guy to pull him off. My guess is that he, and some others, saw the incident.
Since the ski resort did not take action against the girl, it is safe to presume that the FReepers on this thread, who weren't there and didn't personally witness the event themselves but have this girl about labeled as an axe murderer, are wrong in their assessment of the girl's culpability.
Accidents are called accidents for a reason. It's really a shame that the rest of the world isn't as perfect as some FReepers are.
He may be a lot of things, but, a Conservative is not one of them. A Conservative would never attack a 14 year old girl or any child for that matter with clinched fists. AConservative would cradle his child in his arms and make sure he was not injured. One of the nicest things I can call him is a coward.
It's called "tounge-in-cheek." Don't take everything everyone writes on an internet forum so deadly serious.
