Is it just me, or does this country drift towards dictatorship when the Executive Branch can determine (via waivers in this case) which states and companies get punished by Obamacare (or any other program). Remember back when President Bush told us that he didn't have to follow or enforce the law, and with all the talk about "unitary executive theory," many FReepers cheered the idea and flamed those who warned, "But what about when Hillary's in power?"
Oh, those heady days, when Democrats could never get power again, according to many.
Now, here we are, reaping what has been sown for so long. And President Obama is worse than Hillary Clinton.

(Paul Revere would have been flamed as a naysayer troll and told to go back to Boston.)

That likely is a concern in the future and in other cases with this nutjob. I even question whether he’ll be able to hand over the White House keys if he loses in 2012. But in this case, he’s carrying out the law just as written - he can grant waivers all he wants, for any reason. In a sense, little different than being able to impose taxes by fiat on his perceived ‘enemies’.

Remember back when President Bush told us that he didn't have to follow or enforce the law...
Good grief. I don't think Bush ever said he didn't have to follow or enforce the law. There is no quote. You can't produce one. What you can produce is some convoluted interpretation of what you think constitutes 'law' but I doubt you are a constitutional scholar or anything like that. I'll bet you also believe the Federal Reserve is illegal or somesuch, as well but can't explain why other than 'it's unconstitutional'
Now, here we are, reaping what has been sown for so long.
So, Bush is the reason for Obama's power grab? Ridiculous. I don't know how you draw your conclusions, but your reasoning is clouded by your BDS.
