House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Virginia Republican, ripped National Public Radio (NPR) on Tuesday after NPR foundations nonprofit president Ron Schiller was caught on video saying the radio network and most of its member stations would survive without federal funding.
As we continue to identify ways to cut spending and save valuable resources, this disturbing video makes clear that taxpayer dollars should no longer be appropriated to NPR, Cantor said in an e-mail to TheDC. Not only have top public broadcasting executives finally admitted that they do not need taxpayer dollars to survive, it is also clear that without federal funds, public broadcasting stations self-admittedly would become eligible for more private dollars on top of the multi-million dollar donations these organizations already receive.

I have a man-crush on James O’Keefe. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Way to go James, you Magnificent Bast@rd!
The only issue I see with not giving them some fed dollars is the Muslims Brotherhood would love to step in and then it really would beome national Palistinian Radio
At least with some fed money there is some control
Talk, Talk, Talk...
Just do it.
Would we really see a difference in their slant?
I think not.
They couldn’t really get much more anti-American, pro-Muslim than they are.
Now if he could just sting some of the govt employees unions and the govt retirement fund managers. It shouldn’t be hard..there is a lot of corruption there without a sting.
Moral to the story...don’t talk openly to anyone that you aren’t certain of their identity and mission. That goes for GOP as well.
Jimmy is keeping his pimp hand strong.
Hey...if they earn the money privately, they can broadcast whatever they want in my opinion. I don’t have to listen. It just burns me up that my tax dollars finance it.
Defund and be done with it. There is simply no reason that can justify taxpayer funding for NPR (or PBS or Planned Parenthood) and this video proved it. They don’t need the money!
I don't think we could tell any difference if it happened, honestly.
I don’t think we need an excuse. There is no shortage of radio or TV outlets as it is. There is no need for government radio and no need for government TV. PBS and NPR are two expenditures that have no purpose now if they ever did.
Let them sell ad time like everyone else.
No kidding! I just heard the tapes and this guy should be swinging from a tree. Defund now!!
Contrary to what the arrogant “intellectual” Ron Schiller bla bla’s at a fancy restaurant....NPR would go the way of Air America Radio in just a few years.......trust me the libs will have to fight hard for this.

There is none.
And without my tax dollars, I don't particularly care what they say.
He said they don’t need Federal money. :)
...wonder if Juan Williams will be commenting on this one?

Nope, no bias in reporting at NPR,
Nope, Nope, Nope
Or, just don't get caught...
Great comments on Pajamas Media

But then, he's not smart enough to realize that.
