Bachmann Stands by Gangster Government Description By Melanie Starkey Roll Call Staff March 6, 2011, 1:39 p.m.
Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) refused Sunday to retreat from her characterization of the Obama administration as a "gangster government."
The House Tea Party Caucus founder said, "I don't take back my statement on gangster government," a phrase she used at a tea party gathering in April. "I think that there have been actions that have been taken by this government that I think are corrupt," she said during her appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press."
She hammered at the administration Sunday for $105 billion included in last year's health care overhaul law for its implementation, regardless of the questions put to her. Bachmann called on the White House last week to apologize for the funding, which the Congressional Research Service reported in October.
The money was "hidden in various parts of the bill," she said Sunday. "Members of Congress didn't even know this money was in the bill, because we couldn't read the bill before it was passed, because it wasn't given to us but hours before we had to vote for it," she said.
Bachmann said she hasn't "made a decision either way about plans for" entering the 2012 presidential election.
"We can do so much better, she said. "And that's what I'm talking about with people in the next few months. We need to think very strongly. A second administration of Jimmy Carter wouldn't have done this country any favors. We need to make sure we don't have a second Barack Obama administration."
When asked if she had a timeline for making a decision about running, she responded, "I think there's a normal course of events when a decision like that will be made. And if I choose to go down that road, I'll make the decision."

Bachmann is a warrior. She goes into enemy territory every chance she gets and hammers the left like few others can.
More accurately, a gangsta government.
Bachmann is refreshingly honest.
Her gangster govt speech was given ell before all the other fakes hopped on board.
I sure hope she enters the race. She’d force the other candidates to up their games or look like weaklings by comparison. ....which of course most of them are.
Rules ;-)
And she's spot on, it is a "gangster government".
It started basically on day one with the Black Panthers. To last week with his edict that HE & his lap-dog Eric 'My People' Holder, will not enforce DOMA.
Add in 45-50 unconstitutional 'Czars', answerable only to him. HIS refusal to follow a Federal Judge's order on drilling in the Gulf, Gun Running into Mexico, and now 1,000 'Waivers' to his cronies on ObamaDeathCare.
That's crap that Street Gangs do. Not of someone who SWORE an oath to uphold the US Constitution. And an administration that is supposed to follow ALL the laws. Not ignore ones you don't like.
We all know the way un-read bills were passed is thuggish. We've seen his declarations that indicate he will retaliate against those that agree with him. This is gangster-esque.
Even the far left is feeling lied to, by Obama. So there's not the risk that there used to be to calling Obama's government gangster-like, it demonstrably is, and the main stream media-that would be those who sold us on this bill of goods-CANNOT defend him on Michelle Bachman's thrust here, because doing so will only cause people to realize that she is right!
Brilliant!
Sorry, that would be “against those who disagree with him”.
Check this out - I keep a running “MICHELLE BACHMANN APPRECIATION THREAD” on a site I frequently post at

Dan Quayle was ridiculed from effectiveness over a variation of spelling "potatoe".
“Whether it was or wasn’t the best move for Alaska nad her family at the time is difficult to know.”
Then why raise it? And this isn’t ridicule. It is incredulity. You’d recognize ridicule.
Therefore a very clear solid refutation of the inevitable "quitter" label will be needed then,if not now.
Politics is war.
“Because I can guarantee you the Democrats WILL raise it if Palin gets the nomination.”
Hey, if you think that is all it will take to defeat a warrior, that’s your opinion. You don’t get the warrior part. She’ll chew that up and spit that out before the campaign is over. Anyone who falls for the “quitter” tag is naive. Almost no one in politics has not left a gig to take another one. And the simple rebuttal is ... how was AK harmed by her turning it over to a trusted Lt. so she could go kick some Kenyan ass? And which has been more effective in exposing that loser?
She does more harm to this administration with a tweet than any R in the game today with a press conference. Something she couldn’t be focused on if she was up to her ass in (non-govt. paid lawyers) and bogus lawsuits brought by every dispshit on the left. Like the one they tried to nail her with (to the tune of thousands) for wearing a jacket at a sled race. Putrid.
I think we had a President who spent some time on TV and roaming the countryside building alliances with business and community leaders and, coincidentally, while not serving in a Gubmint role. Fella from CA. Name escapes me. He ended up doing alright by the R party though, if memory serves.
BUMP
Republican “men” take note. THIS is how YOU should be responding.
I've been thinking exactly the same thing the past couple of weeks. What a firefight that would be! Interesting concept.
God bless and protect Michelle Bachmann!
Yup - she is a gutsy warrior against this horrible admn.
FFFFUUUUUBBBBBOOOOOO!!!!!!
Wrong- You are ignoring John Bolton, and Herman Cain.
