Minnesota Republican Michele Bachmann called Friday on President Obama to apologize for his landmark health care overhaul, which she called legislative fraud of the highest order.
A White House spokesman declined to comment.
Her congressional office issued two statements several hours apart, both lamenting that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ObamaCare in GOP parlance locks in some $105 billion in future spending to expand health care coverage, set up insurance exchanges, and pay for the nuts and bolts of the new health care law.
Such advance appropriations, Bachmann said, make it difficult for current and future Congresses to defund the bill, the GOPs fallback position in light of the long odds against repeal.

I like her. She got spunk. Unlike most Republicrats.

I like it. Force these frauds to defend their policies in public. Shame them for their lies.
Now, how do we get the media to cover this?

Bachmann & Palin have more balls than the collective male Republican party. Seriously, add them up and see what you get.

advance appropriations "Advance appropriations" are unconstitutional. No Congress can bind a future Congress to spend money they do not themselves vote to spend.

I understand your frustration with the GOP, but that's not fair to Republicans such as James Inholfe, who were standing firm even during the Clinton years.
That said, Palin, Bachmann, and West are why I'm optimistic about 2012.

Apologize? Hell, he’ll brag about it and high-five his fellow commies.
To: pissant
Bachmann is articulately sticking to principle.
To: Allegra
Me too. I support Palin, but I would gladly throw my support behind Bachmann if she turns out to be the better, as in best chance of winning a general election, candidate.

I am not challenging you -- just curious.

Obamacare has been found illegal by the courts and the administration is now in contempt of court.

I HOPE Bachmann understands that no Congress can Bind a future Congress, no matter what.
If she understands this she is being disingenuous. If she does not, she is not smart enough to get my vote in a national election.
I DO wish there was a 3rd alternative.

How would a Palin + Bachmann or v v ticket fly??

Why ask him to apologize...impeach the fraud!!!
To: Semper911
It's just common sense. Otherwise any one Congress could effectively amend the Constitution. This is why every Congress has to vote on appropriations. Any Congress that wanted to could effectively end Social Security by refusing to appropriate money for it. (I'm pretty sure that this was how the war in Viet Nam was ended.)
