The House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee invited Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to swing by and have a little chin wag about the budgetary implications of ObamaCare. Representative John Shimkus (R-IL) noticed that the rather large sum of $500 billion was dedicated to both sustaining Medicare and funding ObamaCare. When he asked Sebelius which destiny awaited those five hundred billion clams, she replied, "Both."

Very limited government can be clean. That is what the founders gave us. There wasn't a lot of money in government, and there wasn't much power either. Therefore, the criminal class found better things to do, and the people who did decide to go into government tended to be actual public servants.

But as government got bigger and bigger, the temptations grew. Now, the money and power is too much and it seems that almost all who go into government are quickly corrupted.

We would need to cut the federal budget 50% (at least) to even begin putting this genie back in the bottle.

You know, we still have to cut AT LEAST $500bil from Medicare over the next 5 years AND another $1tril out of Social Security.

Between those two programs, discretionary spending and Medicaid we need $7.5 trillion to break even.

It's NOT going to happen folks...we won't even come close. There is no political will for this because any rational human being/politician who advocates for it cannot, will not be elected or re-elected.

As for those $14 trillion in bonds outstanding right now?

Suckers. Each and every one of those who hold them are suckers. The US Taxpayer is never, ever going to pay that debt.
