Ron Paul is one of the least hypocritical politician out there. Before you all start foaming out the mouth, understand that Paul's beliefs are rooted in a very simple theory:

Small Government + More States Rights

A quick primer to some of the points brought up and his reasoning behind it

How can you reduce government size when no one on both sides refuses to touch military spending which by far the largest line item in the budget?

We are fighting two wars we cannot afford, so why are we fighting them? 9/11 happened not because of some overblown rhetoric about Muslims hating our SUV driving, McDonald's eating lifestyles; it happened because of our consistent foreign occupation in countries we dont even belong in. Dont believe me? Read this book which contains the most indepth study of suicide terroism ever done.

Abortion, drugs, gay marriage? The Federal government should not have a say in what people can or cannot do, its best to leave it to the states.

Paul will never gain enough support here because the CORPORATIONS who bankroll all political activities know they will have no sway over him. He's a stubborn old man.

I know some of you are ready to start smashing the keyboard in response right now to this N00B. Just to be clear, I dont support Ron Paul, he's too extreme and too idealistic in my view. Im just offering a counterpoint to some of the posts in this thread. Isnt America grand?

Before you all start foaming out the mouth ...

Attention FR, a n00b feels that we are all foaming at the mouth 'right-wingers'

A quick primer ...

Who also feels we are in need of primer from a REAL republican (don't you mean REAL liberaltarian RR2011?)

9/11 happened ... because of our consistent foreign occupation ....

Oh my, the FAIL is strong in this one ...

If you don't support him, then why waste time supporting him. We really don't need a lukewarm recitation of reasons why someone *might* support him, we can think of those ourselves. They have probably also been listed here endlessly on the the most respected CONSERVATIVE (not libertarian) website on the net. You are just wasting time and bandwidth with your little lecture. It would be much better to actually support something or someone you actually suppport instead of simply giving us tepid "think" pieces. OK? A n00b should learn this.

Thank you for reminding us once again why Paul is NOT a conservative (he is a moderate Libertarian). You see, State’s rights do not trump individual rights. A State does not have the right to, for example, take away your 2nd Amendment rights. Nor does a State have the right to say it is OK for someone to take another’s life (see Abortion). One of the Fed’s jobs is to ensure that individual rights are protected, be it from external or internal forces.

Regarding the legalization of drugs, something that always seems to be the number 1 issue for Paultards- for a long time, drugs were used as a weapon against this country by third world Communist countries, in proxy with the Soviet Union. In the same way the government does have the power to prevent a foreign operative from coming in and dumping arsenic in our water supply, they also can restrict dumping poison on our streets. This was one of the main ‘non-stated’ reasons in the Drug War. It was part of a proxy war against the Soviets.

We are fighting two wars we cannot afford...

We're only fighting one. The other one ceased being a combat operation on September 1, 2010. Pay attention.

9/11 happened...because of our consistent foreign occupation in countries we dont even belong in.

You claim not to be a Paul supporter and yet you quote right from the Ron Paul / Alex Jones Kook-Aid Kommittee. Nice try.

I know you're banned and all, and can't reply, which is kind of a bummer, because I'd love it if you could tell us which previously banned Paultard retread you are.
