I can’t reconcile the positions. Please help me.
1. During the last Congress, the Democrats in Washington were upset with Republicans for using filibusters and parliamentary manuvers to delay or prevent voting on issues in Congress. The Democrats say that we should have the debate on the issues, but at the end of the day, the legislative process should go forward, and we should proceed to final votes on the issues. Vote no, the Democrats say, if that’s your position, but put a stop to the parliamentary tricks to prevent legislation from going forward.
2. When confronted with a Republican governor and Republicans in the Wisconsin legislature, the Democrats do not allow the legislative process to move forward. They do not have the vigorous debate on the issues, but then proceed to a vote. They don’t vote no when a vote happens. Instead, they resort to the parliamentary manuver of leaving town so that the legislature doesn’t have the quorom (sp?) or minimal number of members present to conduct its business.
Can anybody help me reconcile these seemingly contradictory Democrat positions????

At the very least. I contend that they have abdicated and should be replaced immediately. Why are they still getting paid? In a troubled financial situation in WI these morons are heaping more debt on the taxpayers.

You KNOW these slimes aren’t using their own credit cards. Is Wisconsin’s AG a republican? These 14 crooks should be charged with some kind of crime! Either theft of public property or bribery. Once the charges are filed the Illinois State Police can arrest them. Even if they’re found innocent it’ll be after the vote is taken.

You really don’t see the difference between operating within the laws of the deliberative body and operating outside the laws of the deliberative body?
If they are hiding out in chain motels (Best Western, Motel 6, etc.) maybe it’s time to apply a little pressure to those parent companies. Make it difficult for them to find a welcome anywhere other than Ed Scumly’s Roadside Fleabag Inn.
