The Rotunda continues to fill up as the 4pm deadline approaches. The Ustream video showed an almost empty Rotunda 35 minutes ago. Now the Rotunda is packed.
Look up “bottom up, top down, inside out”. Violence from the bottom gives the top reason to come down. We cannot afford for this to turn violent!
per twitter: Restrooms have been locked; wi-fi access shut off
I’m in Wisconsin, been following this closely through Madison news, radio talk host McKenna, Gov. Walker’s site, etc. The police have a pretty good repour with the protestors, both have been pretty agreeable with each other. The clearing out the capital was to begin at 4:00, which the police did start doing. They aren’t busting heads, they may have to pick some up and take them out, but so far, it’s been fairly ordering and civil considering the circumstances.
It’s pretty well accepted that if the protestors get out of control over this, it’ll hurt their cause big time across the nation. They plan on being right back in there tomorrow morning.
Which one? BO or... BO?
Ah, wintry mix! Works for me!
It is not 6 in Madison; it is 5:38. I am trying to get live feed. I heard Fox has it, but had to reboot my computer...The one thing Walker has been is reasonable and calm, these folks want to incite trouble. I say let Walker be Walker and call the ball.
They plan on being right back in there tomorrow morning.
If they want to protest outside the building fine. But heaven’s sake, bring a little dignity and order back to your capital.
The least they could do is enforce the fire code tomorrow. I’m sure that the building had more than its capacity in people for much of these last several days.

So those in capitol stay, tho I read that no mattresses and no food deliveries were allowed today—news Madison will report at 9. Seems prevailing attitude is that avoiding violence is in everyone’s best interest. I agree & don’t want this to turn ugly.
I guess that’ll have to do.
Is the cleaning crew unionized too?
Wow, okay. So, for the record, Mike Tobin of FoxNews got punched by one of these rat bastards.
What restraint he must have: he is a bodybuilder, and has been embedded with our forces all over the world. I am sure he could have flattened three of those skinny-assed whimps with one pop.
Sounds to me like police are not obeying orders.
Were these protesters supposed to leave the capitol building or not? My understanding is they were supposed to be cleared out, and it appears the police are simply letting them stay.
The union mob is claiming the police are on their side and supporting them. If the police are not following orders, then this might in fact be true.

That should have been done days ago. The WI taxpayers need to demand that the trash is not pandered to.
The filth occupying the taxpayers state house with their communist crap should be enough to totally invigorate the working people.
I can’t imagine that they will have the place cleaned up by tomorrow morning.
Do the people of Wisconsin not see that this rowdy rabble is circumventing the law and preventing its process? Is this mob really the kind of people they want to teach their children?
If parents still want their children to be taught about good sportsmanship, the rule of law and how to live in an orderly and law-abiding society, then this rabble is clearly and demonstrably the wrong element to be doing it.
Update: Tobin says he got hit in the arm a few times. While he was giving that report, some big fat dude behind him said he was going to break his (Tobin’s) neck.
Yesterday, the Police Union sent in a letter on the 25th they wanted the Capitol to remain open:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Contact: James L. Palmer, II, 608-273-3840
HEAD OF POLICE UNION ASKS GOVERNOR TO KEEP CAPITOL OPEN
AND ANNOUNCES LAW ENFORCEMENT SLEEPOVER
MADISONFollowing action by lawmakers to approve a rule change that clears the way for closing down the State Capitol and ejecting the people protesting Governor Walkers bill to curtail union activity, the head of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association called on the governor today to keep the capitol
building open and allow the peaceful protesters to remain.
The law enforcement officers from across the state that have been working at
the Capitol and have been very impressed with how peaceful everyone has
been, said WPPA Executive Director Jim Palmer. As has been reported in the
media, the protesters are cleaning up after themselves and have not caused any
problems. The fact of that matter is that Wisconsins law enforcement community
opposes Governor Walkers effort to eliminate most union activity in this state,
and we implore him to not do anything to increase the risk to officers and the
public. The costs of providing security can never outweigh those associated with
a conflict.
Palmer also announced that, beginning tonight, the WPPA is formally requesting
its members from across the state to come to the Capitol to sleep amongst the
throngs of other union supporters.
Law enforcement officers know the difference between right and wrong, and
Governor Walkers attempt to eliminate the collective voice of Wisconsins
devoted public employees is wrong, continued Palmer. That is why we have
stood with our fellow employees each day and why we will be sleeping among
them tonight.
