SPRINGFIELD, Mo. | A section of Interstate 44 in southwest Missouri was closed for several hours after a tractor-trailer crashed and spilled its load, creating a giant slick of mayonnaise.
Springfield police closed the eastbound lanes of the interstate near U.S. 65 for several hours Saturday night as crews cleaned up debris including about 40,000 pounds of mayonnaise.
Lt. Scott Leven told The Springfield News Leader that the truck driver lost control, taking the rig through a cable guard and into the median.
He said walking on the spilled mayo was like walking on ice.
No injuries were reported, and other vehicles were re-routed before the cleanup was completed.

Now, all we need is a Boar’s Head truck loaded with smoked turkey breast on the seen...and a local Italian Bakery truck and we have it made!

Spilled egg actually. The mayo plant receives eggs in 5,000 gallon tanker loads
I witnessed such a spill and it was a mess beyond measure. The truck was pulling away from the dock to close the doors and an uneven surface bump caused many many cases to spill out on the dock and pavement and make a terrible mess.
The other ingredient is oil and the mess is slick beyond measure

I was going to read this article but I got stuck on the first post.
I was just thinking the same thing. ~Mine was for hard salami, and some pepperocini and olives to go on the sub.
