Awesome essay Bray on energy. Thank you!
Bakken is not producing at 100% now so there’s a lot more oil to go. It’s booming and will continue until the government decides to hurt the production. The need is so great that off-shore drilling would really help, both off Alaska and the gulf of Mexico.
Sorry its so cold,Spring is around the corner.
First time I’d seen Mitch Daniels. I remember his getting into a little trouble with conservatives for suggesting that we abandon social issues for a while.
I’ve gotta say that although I agreed with most of what he said and he stuck to what guns he had with Chrissy, he is a pale shadow of a man, soft spoken and slight looking.
No matter how smart he is, and he is smart... no matter how good a job he’s done in his state, and he’s done an excellent job ... how can I say this?
He’d better stick to being governor. I feel shallow for saying this, but it’s how I feel.
Meet the Press just played the clip of Obama saying he would put on comfortable shoes and march with labor people if he thought their rights were threatened.
So like him to mention his footwear. Why doesn’t he just put on high heels like he wears at home?
FOX, Round Table -
Kristol - we should enforce a no-fly (possibly a no-tank) zone in Libya (hey, wasn’t that Sarah’s suggestion?)
Wallace asks Mara about criticism of how we are handling evacuations. Wallace says “Other countries sent warships, we sent a ferry.” Mara says administration has finally caught up with the situation.
Dana Perino - administration should have given background to reporters on why they were being slow to respond re. Libya.
Juan - agrees with Kristol, but says people are nitpicking on obama. (awwwww, poor baby).
Exactly right. Paying ever increasing amounts into Social InSecurity (after a certain rather minimal base amount) results in diminishing additions to payouts. The more you and your employer pay in, the worse the % payout.
The same can be said for Medicare (another mandatory government socialist "benefit") except it doesn't even have an anemic sliding scale to calculate "benefits". Everybody gets the same, whether one has paid in hundreds or hundreds of thousands.
Both are socialist redistribution scams that if done by a private company would put the owner and his executives in the slammer!
Haven’t seen the panel or the Huckster yet, have to get ready for Church, but your comments are always so enlightening. Thanks for that.
Interesting in the interview with Daniels, Wallace questioned him about end of life issues (and snarkily mentioned Sarah Palin in the process) Question to self: was Chris snarky when he mentioned Sarah or is it his voice that always sounds snarky?
Anyway, Mitchell stuck to his guns that there were end of life issues that need to be addressed, i.e. in this country where the obits quite often are about late eighty or ninety-year olds dying, we need to figure out how much we can afford to spend on extraordinary measures to give those people a few more years.
He’s probably right but, just like the social issue thing he brought up before, that’s something better left unsaid.
Stay in Indiana, brother. I like you but ...
I was also very impressed with Huckabee this morning.
How high do gas prices have to get and how dire does our association with these middle east countries have to be to finally get The People to start agitating for using our own natural resources.
Not only are they abundant, but it would create a vast number of private sector jobs.
Will America wake up at the pumps?
LOL.........sure easy for you to say.
Your welcome kahuna, glad you liked it. We need to turn this energy starvation around.
It is the message we need to keep repeating. As gas passes $4/gal the establishmedia is going to have a hard time singing his praises about the moratorium. This is a self inflicted starvation that needs exposure.
Pray for America
I posted on Facebook: drill, baby, drill and an ordinarily sensible friend replied, ‘yeah if you want flammable water.’
What’s that all about, do you know?
On FOX, Wallace interviews two hosts of “Parazit”.... plays a clip they made satirizing Iranian leaders. lol, that was funny. Hosts thnks Iran’s president is nuts.
Wallace likens the broadcast to the Iranian version of John Stewart’s Daily Show.
rod, if you look at the sequence of events since the BP Depp Water Horizon disaster, it’s pretty hard not to see a determined effort to drive American energy prices up.
The only question I have is why he is doing this. Is it an effort to crash our economy? Payoff to GE since they are so heavily invested in green energy? Helping Soros clean up on the oil futures market?
All I know is that every normal source of energy is being slowed and/or stopped, while the only green lights go to solar and wind and those ridiculous electric cars.
Well said, thanks.
The old destroying the ocean routine. Scare the masses that there will be massive blowouts and the oceans will be on fire. We had the biggest blowout in history and the fish are fine.
More of the same earth worship to starve America from energy. Should have asked the guy if he was fine with 15-20% unemployment thanks to not drilling?
Pray for America
