Combat troops to get gay sensitivity training

"American combat troops will get (extensive) sensitivity training directly on the battlefield about the military’s new policy on gays…" The sessions on "respecting" gays will go right down to the forward operating bases, where troops fight Taliban militants.

With all the indoctrination that the young get in school today about how the “alternate lifestyle” is ok. I’m wondering the same thing ... but from a different angle.

One thing the straight combat trooper can take comfort in will be the fact that there will frequently be a gay fellow ready to leap on his back to shield him from harm.(Even if they are just stateside in the barracks).

In the immediate moment, the troops should simply check out mentally during the lecture, ignore the propaganda and then proceed. Either that or get a good Pro Bono religious rights attorney to represent them and then demonstrate that their freedom of religion and rights are being trampled upon by an immoral agenda.

Then there's conscientious objection:

Individual Marines cannot choose their leaders or with whom they will work and live. It is beyond governmental authority to force these Americans into situations that compromise their morals. A conscientious scruple against . . . doing military duty, or the like is an objection or repugnance growing out of the fact that the person believes the thing demanded of him is morally wrong, his conscience being the sole guide to his decision . . . ” (Black's Law Dictionary). This “Conscientious Scruple” provision appears to give Marines of conscience a legal remedy for a morally compromising situation...”
