Scientists warn of link between dangerous new pathogen and Monsanto’s Roundup (Vilsack)

Scientists warn of link between dangerous new pathogen and Monsanto’s Roundup

Rady Ananda, Contributing Writer

A plant pathologist experienced in protecting against biological warfare recently warned the USDA of a new, self-replicating, micro-fungal virus-sized organism which may be causing spontaneous abortions in livestock, sudden death syndrome in Monsanto’s Roundup Ready soy, and wilt in Monsanto’s RR corn.

Dr. Don M. Huber, who coordinates the Emergent Diseases and Pathogens committee of the American Phytopathological Society, as part of the USDA National Plant Disease Recovery System, warned Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack that this pathogen threatens the US food and feed supply and can lead to the collapse of the US corn and soy export markets. Likewise, deregulation of GE alfalfa “could be a calamity,” he noted in his letter (reproduced in full below).

On January 27, Vilsack gave blanket approval to all genetically modified alfalfa. Following orders from President Obama, he also removed buffer zone requirements. This is seen as a deliberate move to contaminate natural crops and destroy the organic meat and dairy industry which relies on GM-free alfalfa. Such genetic contamination will give the biotech industry complete control over the nation’s fourth largest crop. It will also ease the transition to using GE-alfalfa as a biofuel.[...]

That sucks. I hope the local farm we buy our meat off of doesn’t feel the effects of this too badly. I love their organic meat. One side benefit is that it is also locally butchered. When I put a five pound roast in the crockpot before work, I have a roast that is very close to the same size when I get home. Those store bought things are injected with so much salt water that they shrink by almost half and then I have to pour the excess water off.

IS THERE A BOTTOM TO THE MALEVOLENCE OF THIS ADMINISTRATION.

I wonder if this abortion producing agent was meant for the population at large? But the livestock are the blaring siren that alerted the ETHICAL scientist.

A consious decision to cause a food crisis? With Holgren and Sustein as Tsars, I am betting YES.

This is doubly confusing because Monsanto also makes a weed killer called Roundup. So I read several paragraph before I figured out this is talking about GM food.

I wonder if this development is part of the reason the EPA wants Dairy Cattle MILK regulated as a biohazard?

It's the same Roundup. Monsanto has engineered plants (and of course their seeds) that are immune to Roundup, so they can spray it on the fields at will and it only kills the weeds.

The "RR" reference in the article stands for Roundup Ready.

"Frankenstein crops" - subverting Mother Nature with government and judicial assistance (consumers, wildlife, birds and insects as live guinea pigs).

USFS Closing all caves in Montana

Spread of White-Nose Syndrome forces closure of caves

Snip: White-nose syndrome (WNS) in bats is spreading across the United States much more quickly than expected, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in September announced precautions to slow the spread in the National Wildlife Refuge System. Caves and abandoned mines on refuges are closed to the public while research and monitoring protocols are implemented. A national response plan is available for comment in the Federal Register.

…….Writing in Science magazine, researchers predict that the widely distributed little brown-nosed bat will face extinction in the Northeast in 16 years.

Bisphenol A (another baddie) is an endocrine disrupter, mimicing estrogen. It’s in baby bottles.

In that case this is a poorly written article about a very interesting subject. That differentiation — or lack thereof — should have been made at the very beginning.

Roundup-ready crops are genetically modified to tolerate the application of Roundup as an agricultural herbicide.

Land resources protected for the banksters. They come for their money, we can’t pay, they’re looking for our assets. They already have it all mapped out - grabbed by the government and called conservation land. The first thing Obama did when he got into office was sign off on millions of acres for conservation. It’s what they’ve been doing for decades in other countries which is why they’re poor.

No, they’re talking about Roundup, specifically glyphosate. The GM plants are incidental.

‘We’re dealing with evil.”

No doubt. I do not give them any benefit of a doubt.

The evidence just keeps piling up.

The little masters of the universe are dangerous.
