(UPDATED AT 3:56 P.M.) Democratic legislative leaders in Ohio said Tuesday that they were prepared to ask a judge to force officials to unlock the doors to the Statehouse as thousands of union protesters gathered for a hearing on a bill that would strip public employees of collective bargaining rights.
Ohio Public Safety spokesman Joe Andrews says about 1,000 people have been allowed into the Rotunda and Atrium for a committee hearing on the bill and additional visitors without appointments were turned away in the interest of safety. The heightened security came after a long President's Day weekend during which unions across the state sought to mobilize their supporters against the bill and bring out big crowds.
Visitors wanting to attend the hearing after doors were closed were directed to an off-site theater, where the meeting was to be simulcast.

Maybe Gov Walker can do the same. Protest outside if u wish, but bring some law and order inside! Remove the “Campers”
Good, prod them to violence then crush them.
I voted for Kasich and I hope he along with the Ohio legislature rams this bill so far down their greedy public servant throats that they choke on it!
If a building should collapse due to, too many people on the floor system, or someone should get crushed from the crowd, guess who’s fault it would be... yep, the Republican Gov’s fault, and the left will scream even louder, “...you should have known we were in danger of killing ourselves, why didn’t you do something...”
Indeed, I am sure there is a fire-code for the occupancy level of the building and rooms.
If a union bought judge rules on this in favor of the thugs,
#1 Ignore His Order
#2 Crash his Chamber so he can get a feel for how duly elected officials are having their work interrupted.
Oh snap I love it they should be locked out in WI too in that regard Gov. Walker is such a nice guy, too nice.
...shew, I thought you were gunna say something like, “they’d be sh—ing reams of paper...”
They certainly are of the mindset of expecting others to take care of them,
so I wouldn’t doubt that they’d try to gain sympathy by claiming “you knew we were a danger to ourselves, and you just let it happen!”
Two Words: "Water Canons"!
Elections have consequences, and November, 2010's election has deep consequences which are unfolding before our very eyes.
Good for AMERICA!
Since the union told teachers to go back to work much of this rabble is from out of state.
Well lookie there isn't that EX-Governor TED STRICKLAND!
Former Gov. Ted Strickland is supporting the unions' efforts.
UPDATE ON WISCONSIN STATEHOUSE SIT-IN
State Capitol - Pajama Report

Good Morning, Taxpayers.
When I arrived earlier this morning, I noted there are a lot of out-of-state protesters and college students with “bed head” walking around your State Capitol.
In addition to all the sleeping bags, your State Capitol is now sporting a very robust fragrance. To better help you capture the essence of this new scent, visualize the Chicago Bears locker room after them not showering for an entire season—minus the hosing they took from the Green Bay Packers! P-U!
(Pictures will be forthcoming, but you are welcome to visit and bring your own camcorders and cameras—pillows, air mattresses, etc.)
There are lots of fine armed police officers here today walking around enjoying the many sights, sounds and now smells the Capitol has to offer. A few of the police officers told me and others they don’t have the ability to clear the Capitol at night. For reasons of public safety, shouldn’t this inability be of greatest concern? Fires?
This is an interesting response from the Capitol Police because prior to the out-of-state invasion that took place last week, every night at 5:45 p.m., the Capitol Police would broadcast over the Capitol intercom system the following, “The Capitol will be closing in 15 minutes. Please find your nearest exit at this time.” Then the Capitol doors would be closed and locked by our fine officers, and then our wonderful cleaning crew makes your State Capitol fresh and clean ready for the public the next day.
Our cleaning and maintenance crew deserve a huge debt of gratitude as they are fighting an uphill battle keeping up with the garbage and the winter slush that is being tracked in.
Also, the Bed & Breakfast industry should be taking note of this as the new State Capitol Flophouse apparently is now offering them some competition these days.
If you would like to share your concerns since you all are paying the bills, feel free to file taxpayer complaints with:

We had two busloads of Cleveland LEO’s head down there today.
It’s time you little greedy, thieving taxpayers learn who’s boss!

I have one word for Ted Strickland....
LOSER!!
hehe......
It's a public health issue. Those leftists have been there for days without showering. Being leftists, I'm sure there were many men who felt the mens room was too far away to walk. Then there's the food garbage. Leftists are not known for their cleanliness. It must be pretty smelly and nasty in there by now.
No matter where the leftists party, they always leave the place looking like a dump. I wouldn't be surprised if the clean up crew found used condoms scattered around the floor.
