Lap 3 will be a silent lap with three fingers held high for Big E.
It hasn't been the same since you left.
For me, it hasn't been the same since R. Petty, C. Yarborough, D. Pearson, and B. Allison left.

# Rookie of the Year Contender
a driver/car# in RED is a go-or-go-homer and had to qualify by speed to make the race
a driver/car# in BLUE is a go-or-go-homer and is a past series champion, eligible to use a past champ provisional
(A) = wrecked in practice and will fall to the rear of the field before the start of the race
PC = Past Champion Provisional used
DNQ = Did not qualify
SPD = made race by qualifying speed
Excellent!
Woot! Let’s DO THIS RACE!!
Is everyone jazzed with the 2x2 racing? I saw a bunch of it today and I’m not on board yet. The strategy - follow a fast car until yours overheats, switch spots and lose track position. Did I pretty much sum it up?
Gonna be a another wild and crazy season.
How will the new youngins do? ...these two qualifying races won't be nothing like raceday.
Another great thread design Gal. I have forgotten which C drivers I have...

The House on Friday voted down a proposed budget amendment by Democratic Rep. Betty McCollum (Minn.) that would have ended the U.S. Army's sponsorship of an official NASCAR racecar.
The amendment sought to bar the use of Pentagon funds to sponsor NASCAR vehicles. In 2010, the U.S. Army spent some $7 million to sponsor the No. 39 Chevy Impala stockracing car.
The final vote was 148 in favor of the amendment, 281 opposed.
Republicans provided 209 of the 281 nay votes, while 72 were cast by Democrats; 118 Democrats supported the ban, along with 30 Republicans.
McCollum is traveling to the Middle East; she did not vote and was not available to comment immediately on the outcome.
Debate surrounding the proposal took a menacing turn Thursday, when McCollum's staff alerted U.S. Capitol Police to a threatening fax sent to her office relating to her NASCAR amendment. First reported by Talking Points Memo, the obscenity-laden message concluded with the words, "Death To All Marxists, Foreign And Domestic!" Capitol Police said Thursday that they are investigating the incident.
McCollum's amendment was among many being debated this week as part of a continuing resolution to fund the remainder of fiscal 2011.

I remember when the Daytona 500 started so early its first hour was pre-empted by a church service (no lights). Then they added lights and started scheduling for the West Coast and since then it's been a night race.
Honestly . . . I can't believe they're going to wave the green flag anywhere near 1pm Eastern.
What do y'all think?
Checking in!
I guess Beck wasn't kidding.
It’s “sniffin’ butts” racin’!
So is it my imagination or is this the first time we will see a race run from green to checkered with entirely push-pull piggyback drafting ??
Thanks for the great threads, WCG and pics too, NYT!!
On to Phoenix and AZamericonnie with posting honors.
See ya next week!!
Can’t complain about seeing Bobby Labonte have a great run and seeing a Cinderella type of victory for the Wood Bros & Trevor Bayne. But I do smell a rat in that Bowyer’s 33 was again chosen as the “random inspection” car.
NASCAR picking up right where it left off.
Obsessive Self Destruction.
Hats off for the Wood Brothers and Trevor!!!
