Is everyone jazzed with the 2x2 racing? I saw a bunch of it today and I’m not on board yet. The strategy - follow a fast car until yours overheats, switch spots and lose track position. Did I pretty much sum it up?

Yes - that sums it up.

Duel 2 was a bit better today even with all the zero bars in it. I think they watched the first one and made adjustments.

Jr said today Dale Jr to Letarte: “I want you to look for more speed...and I’m trying to say that in a nice way.

Why 2nd race more dicey than 1st? Denny Hamlin: “We saw how much the first race was getting away with & we thought we’d push the limits.”

Dale Jr.:”Anyone can win it. With this type of racing .. if you get up front & you’re the 2 guys, 1 of them is going to win that race.”

I asked Dale Earnhardt Jr. if drivers will get better at two-car swap to make D500 more dicey. His answer? “No. Sorry.”

Hard to say how this will look with the full field.
It appears things will string out much more than the previous decade or so.
Of course with the drafting and spot swapping there will likely be plenty of yellows to bunch things back up.
