Long ago Bill Buckley drummed the anti-Semites out of the conservative movement, and the movement thrived as a result. But the Jew-haters have returned. For years the Texas crackpot, Ron Paul, has been attacking America and Israel as imperialist powers -- the Great Satan and the Little Satan, and calling for America's retreat from the battle against our totalitarian enemies. At the recent CPAC conference Paul's Jew-hating storm-troopers swarmed the Freedom Center's table to vent their spleen against Israel as a Nazi state. Now Paul is making a priority of withdrawing aid for Israel  -- the only democracy in the Middle East and the only reliable ally of the United States. Here is an alert from Gary Bauer about the amendment Ron Paul is proposing which may be voted on today.

There is one component of the board that is not subject to congressional audit. And it was congress who made it that way. That’s the policy decisions. Of course interest rate policy is announced as soon as the Board of Governors meet. Which pretty much just leaves the Open Market Committee meetings.

The infiltration of libertarians into what was once conservative enclaves is very problematic and purposefully so.

I have been saying this until I am hoarse for the past year and more, as the problem of the infiltration worsens. I wonder why Republican leadership has not long ago repudiated the Paulitarian movement.

In my view, they are an offshoot of far leftism, whose sole purpose is to dismantle the U.S. military; hence, the constant isolationist bleating. Rand Paul has already taken up the cause of cutting the military, and "Tea Party" darling Michele Bachmann is not far behind.

The Tea Party is the libertarian brainchild to split the Republicans, and a portion of conservatives have fallen for it as a genuinely populist movement, which is not.

He --- and his son --- ARE aligned with the Democrats, but they are tasked with disupting and splitting the Republicans in order to keep the Democrats in power. I don't know why this isn't crystal clear to more people. Apparently, the GOP are that dumb that they don't call the Pauls on their scheme.

The aid money to Israel is about $3 billion a year.

The average public employee union in America spends that much on Preparation H in a month.

If we withdraw our measly $3 billion a year to “balance the budget” (LOL x 3 billion), and end up witnessing the destruction of Israel and the mass-murder of its citizens, something will happen to the American Soul from which there will be no recovery. However, that is not to say the US should not offer military equipment to Israel, far from it, as the world can turn a cold eye to them as happened in 1973.

I agree with you on that point. I am asking that questions be asked. “Is Our Alliance With Them Entangling?” Even were we to make a temporary drop in support, we could still raise it up again should there be an emergency, or repeat of 1973.

My real beef in the post is the fact that there’s very blanket statements regarding how our relationship with Israel is, of all things, it is not Black & White, it’s not just Pro-Israel or Anti-Semitism, it’s more than that, a lot more.

As for voting to repeal the socialized medicine act, a majority -- if not all -- Republicans, and some Democrats, have done so. It wasn't Paul's idea, it was Cantor's and some others like Ryan. They are the leaders in Congress now.

Allow me to point out that in 1948/1952/1967/1973 the Israelis won every war they fought, in 1982 and 2005/06 with heavy US aid they lost in Lebanon twice.

In the grand tradition of fascist thugs afraid and unwilling to allow free debate, Horowitz attacks Ron Paul personally rather than discuss his proposal to end checkbook diplomacy in an era of red ink.

Worse, simpleton Horowitz goes to the most extreme place by charging "Anti-Semitism" as Paul's motivation and calls forth Nazi comparisons by suggesting Ron Paul has " Jew-hating storm-troopers" at his command! Outrageous! Such rhetoric and motives are a desecration upon the dead and tortured during the Holocaust!

The state of Israel is not above criticism. Its right to exist is no free pass to do evil. America's foreign policy must be determined by what is best for America first--by what is right and just--and not cemented in racist superstitions and a ceaseless deference to the whims of Israeli leaders.

For too long, America has been mistreated, slandered, attacked, mislead or even betrayed by its so-called "ally for peace" in the Middle East. It's time for Israel to be put on notice: America will no longer be a battered spouse.
