Ron Paul Is A Vicious Anti-Semite and Conservatives Need To Wash Their Hands of Him
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | February 17, 2010 | David Horowitz

Posted on 02/17/2011 11:23:56 AM PST by HorowitzianConservative

Long ago Bill Buckley drummed the anti-Semites out of the conservative movement, and the movement thrived as a result. But the Jew-haters have returned. For years the Texas crackpot, Ron Paul, has been attacking America and Israel as imperialist powers -- the Great Satan and the Little Satan, and calling for America's retreat from the battle against our totalitarian enemies. At the recent CPAC conference Paul's Jew-hating storm-troopers swarmed the Freedom Center's table to vent their spleen against Israel as a Nazi state. Now Paul is making a priority of withdrawing aid for Israel  -- the only democracy in the Middle East and the only reliable ally of the United States. Here is an alert from Gary Bauer about the amendment Ron Paul is proposing which may be voted on today.

I'm not sure I follow the logic of equating a decrease in foreign aid with being a vicious anti-semite. I would like to see heaps of foreign aid cut, and while now may not be the opportune moment with Israel, I'm not sure that it would have such a deleterious effect on them - generally speaking government subsidies aren't good for the recipient.

And if so, what do you base this assertion on?

Based on this assertion by you:

"as a Christian nation, we have a spiritual obligation/charge to defend Israel."

America has no such "spiritual obligation".

The ex-commmie Horowitz really hasn’t change much in his use of smear tactics. Once a commie, always a commie I guess.

And there is a book called “The Bible” that details what happens to Israel when she does not depend on the Lord or herself.

Keep in mind, if Foreign Aid is withdrawn, so is US brow beating of Israel, if they wish to expand in the West Bank, that is solely their move to make the US can do nothing about it.

Have to admit a part of me likes:

“we depend on God and ourselves”

over

“we depend on ourselves and the US then God”

Add in, I’m not certain how righteous it is to go into deep debt, then give the funds away.

If he stuck to that I’d be all for him.

Its the rest of the wacky crap, (trials for terrorists, trutherism, open borders, et. al.), of his that makes me dismiss him as a lunatic.

He’s a libertarian, and I only support conservatives in the Reagan/Goldwater mold.

Ron Paul belongs to the Pat Buchanan school: anti-Jewish and anti-Israel.

Yeah right, an anti-semite whose favorite economists are two Jews: Mises and Rothbard. Do you also believe that the Moon landing was faked or are you just willing to use any smear against people you disagree with?

So, our country was not based on the values derived from any religion,

and so there will never be any consequences of turning away from those values.

Got it. Libertarian think. I used to think like that.

Oh, that's very clever. You do realize Ronald Reagan was a Democrat the first half of his life, right?

Exactly, that is what I’m driving at, Biblically when Israel stood alone, and unified, they were at their peak, when they looked to foreign countries for aid in fighting their wars, and not to the Lord and themselves, they were crushed with Jerusalem being burned etc.

However, that is not to say the US should not offer military equipment to Israel, far from it, as the world can turn a cold eye to them as happened in 1973.

Yep. And after you “purge” all of those libertarians (including Ronald Reagan) from your precious Party you can go back to your 33% minority status. There are plenty of Libertarians who understand that freedom means you have to fight some times and that the unborn have the right to live and also that to defend freedom you need to support your allies. They don’t register Republican because they are sick of the Republican proven history of financial irresponsibility as 8 years of BushII proved unequivocally. Yeah, “purge” them from the FR and your Party. Lose their votes.

Without the libertarian contingent the Republicans would never win an election.

Ron Paul and his roving gang of rootless followers made a mockery, a laughing-stock and a pinata for the media/libs by using CPAC as a vehicle for their loony toons.

The CPAC convention was always one we freepers and conservatives loved, we participated in, we respected, we were loyal to, we trusted....now its reputation has been demolished, at least for the nonce.

The new head of CPAC seems to have his head on right. But he'll have to be extremely immedeiate, forceful and clear in what steps he's taking to restore the convention to its luster.

You can bet that Ron Paul will scream to high heaven over any steps being taken that look like they're directed at him and his malcontents. However, he's not a conservative, he's a nutcase....so let him scream.

He's got no creds in our conservative movement. Get out and stay away, Mr. Paul. Put on your own convention (in a phone booth somewhere).......it's a free country.

What has any of that have to do with your statement that:

Of course not. But one Buchanan making conservatives look bad is already one too many.

But the apple never falls far from the tree.

A proverb that holds little truth. My parents were union-all-the-way Mcgovern voters and Reagan haters. I think that Reagan was the greatest President since George Washington. Looks like that apple fell pretty far away.

As far as I am concerned, Liberatarians are nothing more than confused Liberals.

Ron Paul refuses to support Barry Soetoro’s foreign policy and suddenly he’s a dreaded anti-semite. Amazing. I guess if they can’t beat the man on the facts they’ve got to call him scary names.
