Thre Cruise Diary

DEAR DIARY - DAY 1

All packed for the cruise ship -- all my nicest dresses, swimsuits, short sets. Really, really exciting. Our local Red Hat chapter - The Late Bloomers decided on this "all-girls" trip. It will be my first one, - and I can't wait!

--------------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 2

Entire day at sea, beautiful. Saw whales and dolphins. Met the Captain today -- seems like a very nice man.

--------------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 3

At the pool today. Did some shuffleboard, hit golf balls off the deck.. Captain invited me to join him at his table for dinner. Felt honored and had a wonderful time. He is very attractive and attentive.

----------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 4

Won $800.00 in the ship's casino. Captain asked me to have dinner with him in his own cabin. Had a scrumptious meal complete with caviar and champagne. He asked me to stay the night, but I declined. Told him I could not be unfaithful to my husband. --------------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 5

Pool again today. Got sunburned, and I went inside to drink at piano-bar, stayed there for rest of day. Captain saw me, bought me several large drinks. Really is quite charming. Again asked me to visit his cabin for the night. Again I declined. He told me, if I did not let him have his way with me, he would sink the ship.... I was shocked.

--------------------------------------------------------------

DEAR DIARY - DAY 6

Today I saved 2600 lives. Twice.

HBO Documentary - The Battle for Marjah Thursday Feb 17th

In February 2010, US Marines launched Afghanistan: Operation Moshtarak, the biggest operation since the start of the Afghanistan war, whose main target was the Taliban stronghold of Marjah, a town in Helmand province. Journalist Ben Anderson, who spent two months with the American forces, offers an extraordinarily intimate look at the brutal realities of modern-day warfare in the harrowing documentary The Battle for Marjah, debuting Thursday, Feb. 17 (9:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, marking the first anniversary of this historic battle.

This is a story about a dog named Grizzly who loved to swim with the wild dolphins.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEUaRWBBMLM

When the video starts, right under the picture are the words in blue “’dolphin dog’......watch and learn.....”

Click there, before watching the video, read the introduction, and you will feel like you know Grizzly, as you watch this incredible film. (It is a bit long, but worth every second to the end.)

Everyone have a nice day - I’m headed off to Phoenix to renew my Military ID, so will be gone all day. WFW, everyone!

Did you have a nice day?

Well...not exactly!

Windy, rainy, and cold!

On the good side...allergies were mild! When the sun returns, the allergies will be in full force again! :) (Crazy, isn't it?)

OMG, I ‘copied and pasted’ that from what I posted on Amy’s this morning.

We had a safe, noneventful trip - got my ID renewed for four more years - and then saved a TON at the Commissary - and at the gas pump on base.

Then, on the way back to Sedona - got to stop at my favorite restaurant in the world - PF Changs - where they have a wonderful calamari.

I told my friend, (after taking the first bite), “I think I am in heaven!”

All in all it was a VERY good day, Jinxy! (And I was most concerned about driving at night in Camp Verde - not Phoenix.) LOL!

Happy Birthday Albaby!

You realize that a number of great Americans were born in February; Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, Cody, Gleason, Nimitz and my brother.....well we'll skip the last .

I think it has to do with skinny dipping in May but that an unscientific postulation.

In Camp Verde? I’ll have to speak with my niece about that, looks like.

All those wild friends of hers...

Glad you had a good time in the big city. And we love PF Chang!

To: AZamericonnie; All
Today, I had to go to Phoenix to renew my Military ID.
Guess where my friend and I had dinner?

The server remembered the last time I was there
Where I sat, who I was with
What we all ordered
And how much fun
We all seemed to be having.
LOL!

I asked him for a little cup of the sauces
(That were out of this world)
To put in the doggie bag
And, because he remembered me and my friends with such fondness
He gave me a BOWL of everything!
LOL!

I told him we WILL return the end of March!
