McCain: House GOP spending cuts are 'realistic' (but says some cuts may "not be totally necessary")
The Hill, Washington, DC ^ | 2010-02-13 | Andrew Restuccia

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Sunday that Republican plans to cut $100 billion in spending in an upcoming bill to fund the government through the end of the fiscal year are “realistic.”

“I think a lot of it is realistic,” McCain said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

“Maybe [Tea Party freshmen] can go back and educate their voters that it may not be totally necessary,” he said.

Those cuts and many, many more ARE totally necessary Mr. McLame - you and your like can shove your ‘education’.

They don’t even want to cut the rate of growth. Rounding errors are more than these “cuts”. They added $50Billion in January to the estimated deficit.

Cut, cut cut.

Then it gives the lifelong politicians room for their future vote buys.

CUT!

Somehow I doubt John McCain has the manhood to do what my congressman has done by promising that he won’t bring a lot of money into the district.

Cut PBS, NEA and eliminate all Federal spending on education and you have at least a good start.

The deficit is $1.5T.

How can spending cuts amounting to less than 10% of this NOT be necessary?

Make hay while the sun shines. Cut now and if there is massive death rather than leftwing pain, add a dribble back

Maybe the Tea Party can educate the spendthrifts in Washington.

STFU, slobbering a-hole. With a 1.5 trillion dollar deficit, you say "it may not be totally necessary." What a stupid gibbering idiot.

“Maybe [Tea Part freshmen] can go back and educate their voters that it may not be totally necessary,” he said. If more of the voters where educated in your ways, maybe you would not be a Senator right now. Sheesh to think he just won another 6 year term.....
