Rep. West speaks on the greatness of American Conservatism.
I hope he is starting his 2012 campaign. We need a hero.
I would start a ping list but I have no idea how.
He is a force the liberals won’t be able to reckon with.
I think he would have the best shot at defeating Obama in 2012 than anybody else, but I would be surprised if he ran. Maybe 2016.
I’d like to see him do a term as Governor first. Too often we think because someone who speaks well and shares our views, that that automatically qualifies them to be President. I’d like to see him spend some time managing a large operation, like a state, a large corporation, etc.
This is my concern about Michele Bachmann and Newt (other concerns about Newt, quite frankly).
This is where Palin shines, and to some extent, Mitch Daniels.
He has managed an operation, one with deadly consequences not just numbers on a balance sheet.....he managed soldiers in a war zone!
True. I have no doubt he would be capable of governing. The issue is swing voters who don’t have a clue about what is going on. Anything that can add to his resume, such as a 4 year term as Governor of a large state, would add to his credibility in the minds of the ill-informed. This is what put Reagan on the road to the White House. The libs’ tired commentary of “he’s just an actor” began to be easily deflected simply by having the gravitas of having served as Governor of CA.
It was a very good, substantial speech.
The Left will work to suppress his Conservative voice. The Left doesn’t want to risk inspired Blacks leaving its plantation.
I agree about the need for executive experience.
However, West’s military background and maturity will suffice. He’s got the goods.
That said, let him get his feet wet in Washington, then be ready when the country calls in a few years. I like him immensely, but he’s not ready yet.

Some straight talk about several subjects most Republicans are afraid to touch: multiculturalism, the unique American culture, the rise of communist China, traditional family and marriage, radical Islam and PCness and its role in allowing the mass murderer Hasan to remain in the Army after so many danger signs.
We need leaders who’ll discuss those topics, and there aren’t very many who will.

He understands the danger of radical Islam and expresses his opinions with boldness. The thing I might admire most about Representative West is his way of exposing PC lies about the threat of Islam and Sharia. He would know. His service in the military gave him an up close a personal view of that culture and its ideology.
He runs in the direction of the battle and we are going to need leadership like that in the coming years with what we are witnessing in the world today.
