Egypt's foreign minister has rebuffed calls from Washington to speed up the pace of political reform.

Rejecting a US demand to lift a state of emergency, Ahmed Aboul Gheit said Washington should not "impose" its will on "a great country".

I am increasingly tempted to e-mail various Egyptian govt. ministries, starting with their Foreign Ministry (and maybe even the Presidential Palace itself) and plant in their mind the concept of answering each and every pressure from Obongo, with

"Alrighty then, we'll consider it, once YOU submit to your own people, in the name of legitimate democracy, the certified long form of original birth certificate, Mr. President."

Really, really tempted to send this to Cairo, or Nile TV or whomever on that side of the fence.
