No Hair Dye For President Obama

February 09, 2011 10:39 AM

ABC New's Sunlen Miller reports: Mrs. Obama put an internet rumor to rest this morning, confirming that her husband does not dye his hair.

“It's lighting,” she said in an interview with The Today Show, when she was showed two pictures of her husband just weeks apart, one showing her husband with much more gray.

The president has often remarked about his gray hair, which he says has gotten worse in the two years since he’s been president. But internet rumors were rampant when at times the amount of gray in the president’s hair seemed inconsistent, causing some to speculate he was trying to hide the gray with hair dye.

“No,” Mrs. Obama said plainly when asked if this was the case. “I think that if he had known he would be president, he would have started dying his hair, like, 10 years ago.”

Mrs. Obama said today that the president is not vain about his appearance, and joked that the women in his life sometimes wish he’d care a bit more.

Of course he’s not using dye. That stuff comes in a spray can these days.

A bright orange one, with a ruffled, 50s-style polka-dot dress (not bad looking, except for being too short), and bright yellow pumps. I think she dresses in the dark.

Thanks—now I’m fighting to keep my lunch down! ;)

I dress in the dark sometimes, and I know I come out looking better than that!

The dress in and of itself is not bad, but the shoes and b-belt make it a nightmare, as does the person wearing it.

Doesn’t the woman have any black shoes? That would have made this outfit a whole lot better.

Yeah, the dress is cute, although I’d take one with a higher neckline and a longer skirt. Can’t have people looking down the top saying, “Milk now?”

If you don’t own bizarre and unflattering clothes, you can’t put them on by accident!

LOL! I’m dressed in a long sleeved cream shirt and a patterned cardigan I got off the clearance rack at Target for $6. I know it’s not high fashion, but it coordinates and it is appropriate with the half foot of snow that has fallen around here in the last 6-8 hours :)

Who’s that with Bam? Jerry Colonna?

“Colonna brought a whacked-out touch to Hope’s show. In a typical exchange, Hope asks, “Professor, did you plant the bomb in the embassy like I told you?”, to which Colonna replied, in that whooping five-alarm voice, “Embassy? Great Scott, I thought you said NBC!”

Pinging you to this thread that I though might interest you and others, seeing as the hair dye topic has drifted to a discussion of Mrs. Obama's wardrobe. Your comment about attire is a direct example of the importance we place on the appearance of our (so-called) leaders!

I’m wearing a brown corduroy skirt and a 3/4-sleeve white blouse with penguins on it. Christmas penguins, so they’re a little past their date, but at least it’s still winter ...

They say we may get snow tonight.

I also find it strange that he tried to joke in the BO interview 'see my hair it is gray'

I think they polled and found the gray hair is good. So he quit dying it and MO lied for him. He quit smoking too...He did not have sexual intercourse with Larry I mean that woman...

What is with her shoes? They don’t look right. Plus the color of her skin tone changes like she uses Michael Jackson cream sometimes and sometimes not. Oh wait it is the lighting...

Lighting is important. Rosie O’Donnell once told Jay Leno that, with the right kind of lighting and a little makeup, she could do something about his chin. o
