And why are any political statements made by singers, Hollywood idiots, et. al. almost always liberal ones??????
For the record, we did not watch any of the super bowl. I’m a singer and know how easy it is to screw up the words of a song. Doesn’t take much, but when she had the words on a teleprompter? Deliberate? Besides CA’s vocal style being un-suitable to the anthem (everyone always wants to show off), and the fact that she looked like crap (watched the video this morning), I remember this....person slamming Arizona’s immigration policy. And she was picked to sing the national anthem and screwed it up. Not surprised.
You think Fergie could do better, she’s been doing it so long. See her here at about age 7.....

I muted the TV right away, then my son objected.
So I muted it in my mind.
Maybe that’s the problem...she’s been doing for so long she’s blown her pipes. ; )
That had already been done. :-)
You probably have and just don't realize it. A few of their songs are popular "stadium" tunes. They should have just stuck to those and done them well, and everyone would have been entertained.
The only thing that didn't go wrong was the lights stayed on.
And....
The only way the half time show could have been worse, would have been to have Michael Jackson's coffin on display and a field full of Elvis impersonators performing Thriller.
My husband and I heard it and glanced each other the eye roll, as if the music wasn’t crappy enough.
let’s see:
Agulara botched the national anthem by forgetting the words and doing the worst cher impersonator impersonation ever.
The commercials had so much “yuck” factor that it create a list of products NOT to buy because of the negative imagry.
The halftime show was plagued with electrical failures, a rent-an-audience, (can you say “LOE”), egomania, and thankfully fergie’s microphone was not working.
The NFL sold more tickets than seats and decided to turn away the regular fans in favor of the corporate suit sponsors. (good luck with that debacle)
and NOBODY is talking about the actually football game.
is the super bowl really “super”?
“I got ya beat...I didnt watch the SB.”
Count me out also. I’d been a HUGE football fan since before the NFL and the AFL played each other in a bowl game but no more. The business of football has ruined the game of football for me.
Buh-bye, NFL.
“The only thing that didn’t go wrong was the lights stayed on.”
Under the circumstances, that would’ve been the right thing to do.
Under the circumstances, turning out the lights might’ve been the right thing to do. That and the PA system.
If Ms Overrated had peed herself, it still would have been a Pee-Poor Performance. It seems each year they NFL hires the same group of people to choreograph a disaster, with the hopes that eventually they'll put on a good program. You know when they put on lighted costumes and choreograph the "fans" on the field, it's because the music is gonna suck. It reminds me of how Japanese view restaurants. The worse the food is, the more they decorate the dining room. In this case, it was garish.
I just didn’t care for both teams... they blow.
AGREED!
