Hey, Rabs, didn't you support a guy last year who compared the border fence to the Berlin Wall?

McCain is a complete a**, but where do you get off lecturing anyone about this particular subject?

Can South Carolina FReepers please explain why you send Lindsay Graham to Washington? Is it just to get him out of SC?

That dust storm is from McCain rushing to get back with his ‘friends across the aisle’.

This is Arizona’s fault for send he back to the Senate. Of course, SC wasn’t much better because they returned Graham.

Maybe, at least, there will be enough backbone in the House to stop any McCain-Graham-Schumer madness on amnesty.

What is it with these guys? “Test the political will.” You test it every year, and every year you get shot down, it’s pretty obvious what the “political will” is. Then you start all over again. What part of “no” don’t you understand?

The only way for this country to survive is to seal the border and for some reason our “leaders” don’t want to do it. The only conclusion I can come to is “one world government”.

As the Mexicans come across and they’re starving, home invasions are going to go through the roof. Food riots everywhere. When people are hungry they’ll do what they have to do to eat.

1) Close the border, NOW!
2) Staff up and train the immigration services;
(This is actually a legitimate role of the federal government, that shows that we’re serious about promoting LEGAL immigration!)
3) Emphasize that current policies supporting SLAVE WAGES for LEGAL immigrants, will not be promoted or tolerated.
4) Insist on education and social policies promoting assimilation, which is the ONLY path on which immigrants can prosper!

If these RINO’s find it so easy to make alliances with Democrats, now the front party for the socialists, who are the well-established front party for communism, why don’t they just switch parties and go full Democrat? Judas goats. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judas_goat

And in one closely watched comment, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) let it slip recently that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) “seems to think that there’s a shot at this.”

And what does the great, young turk Republican leader Paul Ryan have to say about this issue? I've never heard his stance on amnesty. Does he just parrot McCain, or does he have an opinion on what should or shouldn't be done.

Ronald Reagan already passed a more than generous amnesty so that we wouldn’t have people here illegally. It wasn’t that long ago. Any dispute over ‘amnesty’ from here on in can be had only when they’re back in their legal, home countries.

First thing is to secure the border!!!!!!!!!!!

Then we can talk about what to do with the 12-20 million illegals here now.
I know there is no way in hell we can deport 20 million people, 6% of the entire population.
But amnesty just ain't in the cards. Maybe something along the lines of:
NO illegal can ever become a citizen of the United States.
Maybe something like a green card for any without felonies.
I don't know if this is workable but it could be a starting point for discussion.

The scary part is that not only do they think we’ll fall for it again—oh, they’ve already agreed to seal the border, so now we can move ahead with amnesty for 30 million illegal immigrants here currently—but also that there is a chance they’re right.

I really want to see this as an energized, litmus-test issue for our candidates in 2012. The best possibility is that McCain and Graham contribute to waking the electorate up on this in time for that.
